The name of Habibganj railway station has been changed to Rani Kamlapati station Habibganj railway station, is a railway station in Bhopal City and part of the West Central Railway. It is located in Habibganj, New Bhopal and lies on the main Jhansi–Bhopal–Itarsi route line. It is India's first private railway station Habibganj railway station to be India's first world-class station! Now it is renamed as Rani kamlapati railway station, with station code RKMP . Very nicely maintained world class railway station. All facilities of a metro city railway station are available here. Good location in the heart of city near MP nagar . Ample parking space on both sides i.e. BHEL side and MP nagar side. Foods available round the clock. Well connected with whole bhopal city.

Nice and clean station and platform 1and the area outside (including parking) need an urgent and long due maintenance. People have to dragg the stuff in the sand and stones due to ongoing construction and never ending changes at station. This has to reach to a stable point where we can reach from parking to platform easily. The beggers are also a problem. Parking area needs an improvement as well. Location is great but being smart city project this is going backward not forward. The road connectivity has to be improved as well.

Habibganj railway station (station code: HBJ) is a railway station in Bhopal City and part of the West Central Railway. It is located in Habibganj, New Bhopal. It is India's first ISO CERTIFIED private railway station.The railway station of Habibganj is located : 7 kilometres (4.3 mi) away from Bhopal Junction 10 kilometres (6.2 mi) away from Bhopal Central 2 kilometres (1.2 mi) away from Maharana Pratap Nagar, Bhopal, the commercial area in southern region of the Bhopal cityThe station consists of a total number of 5 platforms. The Ministry of Railways privatised Habibganj railway station in June 2017, making it India's first private railway station.[3] The station will have facilities like a shopping complex, forex kiosk and eateries.[4][5] Bhopal-based Bansal Group (M/S Bansal Pathways Habibganj Private Limited) has taken the responsibility from IRSDC to turn this railway station into a benchmark for all similar future endeavors.[6]The station was scheduled to be completed in March 2020, however, faced delay due to Covid crisis. Indian Railway railway has asked the Bhopal division officials to regularly monitor the work. DRM Uday Borwanker has recently inspected the work at the Habibganj station.The renovated Habibganj station is likely to witness average 35,000 to 40,000 passengers everyday. Around 85 pairs of trains will be given a stoppage. Before Covid, 54 pairs of trains operated here everyday and movement of about 25,000 people was being recorded. At present, 22 pairs of trains are operating from here. To implement the project, the railways awarded the prized contract to Bansal Group, which formed a new company in association with Prakash Asphalting and Toll Highways named Bansal Pathways Habibganj Private Ltd to work on the project. Project in-charge, Abu Asif, said, “We will be able to complete the structure work by March 31. It will be functional also, just like how we have done with the subways.”Habibganj is being developed as the first railway station in the country to provide world-class facilities to passengers through the public-private-partnership (PPP) model under the station redevelopment programme of Indian Railways. The revamp work was launched in July 2016 at an estimated cost of Rs450 crore. However, it could take off only in January 2017 with a deadline to complete it in three years. The project is divided into two parts: Rs100 crore were earmarked for facelift of the station while the remaining Rs350 crore was for commercial facilities. The deadline for construction of commercial facilities is 2022. This station is being revamped on the lines of Heidelberg railway station in Germany, which is famous for its airport-like facilities. There will be large LED screens for entertainment and multiple delicious cuisine shops. This Air Concourse Lounge will have space for 700 passengers to sit together.
