I highly, highly recommend this school! I have had two children currently attending Carden of Tucson and two others who have recently graduated from Carden and are now in a public high school. I was curious as to how the children would assimilate, given the wonderful, kind and caring atmosphere at Carden, the small class size and specialized attention they get during class, then the transition to high school. Both students have been thriving at the high school level, scholastically and socially. Carden teaches students to adapt to various atmospheres and situations. Carden teaches morals and values to children they will not always learn at public or other charter schools, such as being team players, personal responsibility, respecting others, helping others, and being kind. There are so many things that I see at Carden that I am impressed with, here I will list a few; Civics Education focusing on the U.S. Constitution, especially at a time when it seems forgotten by so many; The Grade Scale is Challenging but the Teachers guide the Students to Achieve the Goals; Extremely experienced Educational Staff; Small Class Sizes providing Personal Attention to the Students; Safe Place for Students; No Bullying and very minimal Problems at this School; Staff, Parents and Children operate like a big Family; The three Carden Rules are Take Care of Yourself, Take Care of Each Other, Take Care of this Place, which really makes an impact on the children as they apply these rules in society; Students memorize the Preamble to the Constitution and the Declaration of Independence, they recite the Pledge of Allegiance to the United States Flag every morning; a Wonderful Music and Dance Program. It is incredible to see my two young children's LOVE of going to this school. They are excited to get up and go each morning. Carden of Tucson is one of Tucson's best kept secrets, a gem in the desert!. I stopped going to this school because of all the problems that no one is doing anything about. Everything about how the school is run and how it works is a joke. Not a single teacher actually cares about us students or our mental health. The teachers are also rude and think that they know everything and when they are corrected by a student on a subject they just send the student out of the class for "being disrespectful". Not to mention that it starts way to early in the mornings, most students don't even get a good nights sleep due to all the unnecessary workloads. There is also a lot of bullying that goes on that teachers and staff just ignore.
