★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The staff is corporative, membership here is 900 for first timers per year nd 700 for renewing the membership another year, according to Indian calendar, only sat-sun are not for membership purposes. Seating here is limited Also NCR residents are not allowed because of it.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is situated in Chandni chowk near metro station and behind the Kotwali thana Chandni chowk. Nice library,not very spacious but altogether. good ambiance. Mostly civil service aspirants come here. Membership is required to study.

Union Health and Family Welfare Minister Dr. Harsh Vardhan, who inaugurated the renovated library, said it had played an important role in promoting the culture of book reading.
8,000 rare texts
“The 104-year-old heritage building contains approximately 1.25 lakh books, which include 8,000 rare texts and 350 handwritten manuscripts,” said North Delhi Municipal Corporation Mayor Jai Prakash. Digitisation and conservation of rare books was done by the Indira Gandhi National Centre for the Arts.

people who come here for just one day or for reading were not permitted inside even with proper id proof.
They restrict us quoting membership as library rules,which is not fare for people who were from other states.

It has a canteen
And a very silent environment for study
