This point is of significant importance as it provides a route to LOT8 which is a ferry point to get to sagar island.
The other ferry point is at Namkhana which is around 20km from here.
Harwood point and lot8 are great places,
From harwood point you'll get motor rickshaws to lot8 where you get a ticket to the ferry which sails on Muri ganga(hughli is called muri ganga here as it falls into bay of bengal) the creek here provides some immemorable experiences and views.
From here you get to Kachuberia which is on sagar island.
From there you can get a car or bus to go to ganga sagar which is farthest south end of this island.
Harwood point is around 5 km away from lot8 but is easily connected.
