★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Chicken , Groceries & Veggies are good. For fish I would suggest Barasat main market which is near the railway station about 1 km ahead. Jyoti Sweets is good. A small shop near Barasat Govt school sells duck.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Hatkhola Bazar is in Hatkhola Barasat. One can approach the Bazar from various points. The nearest bus/auto stop is Hatkhola. However it is far from railway station. The Bazar starts generally around 7:30 AM. Fresh vegetables, fruits, fishes, mutton, chicken everything is available. The price is reasonable, but not as cheap as Kachari maidan market. The fish market is highly diverse and big. Also flowers are available. You can find a temple and two sweet shops. The Bazar also having haat on Monday and Friday evening. I love going to this market. The sellers are very nice and customer friendly.
