Extraordinary achievements start with unconventional thoughts. He was a man who dared to question, “Why can’t Indians have a home of their own with housing finance in the earlier years of their lives? Why should they have to wait till the end of their working careers?” Though the question was simple, the answer was not so. The uphill task notwithstanding, at an age of 66, when most people think of retirement, Mr. Parekh was determined to set up his most ambitious enterprise.
His lifelong dream of helping Indians own their home, as he had seen abroad during his student days, led to the formation of the Housing Development Finance Corporation Limited (HDFC) in 1977 and as they say, the rest is history.
It was the first of its kind in the country. His setting up of HDFC, without any financial assistance from the Government of India was a milestone in the Indian financial history. It was under Mr. Parekh’s leadership and direction that HDFC grew manifold while being strongly rooted in the principles of integrity, transparency and professionalism.
Mr. Parekh was a man of few words, and believed that strong views need not be expressed in strong words. He had a keen eye for talent and nurtured it by providing direction and ample learning opportunities.
He never underestimated the power of teamwork. He believed that the success of an organization was possible only with a group of dedicated professionals who shared a common goal to serve, and were willing to take reasonable risks.
Soon HDFC became a role model not only for the country but for the entire Asian region. His dream of providing better housing and living conditions for people was accomplished with an organization that was modelled on its international peers but was Indian at heart.

They are charging me 10.95%, this is sick. If I talk about reducing the interest rate, they say, get all last 2 yrs ITR and the can reduce it to 1%.
When I got 2 emails of reducing rates, they say, your loan product doesn't fall under this. Aawful experience. I never recommend them.
They will ripp you off in processing fee as well, they charged me 1.5%.
Going to transfer the loan in a month and so.

Third grade company, mislead and mistreat their clients. I can totally relate with all these comments. This review is posted especially about one pathetic employee of this branch VIPUL GANDHI. I don't how come he's surviving. Zero communication knowlegde. Good for nothing. Completely worthless.

I expected the same kind of reply. Is there anyone who is not robot there? Any human being who value their customers. I already submitted a complaint on grievance but still they are doing copy and paste of their one response to every review since there is no human work there.
So today I received an email from their grievance department stating that Mr Vipul Gandhi had asked for were to assess and understand your business and income inorder to appraise the loan.
Just see how HDFC covers the blunders of their worthless employee VIPUL GANDHI. So which means asking about my personal conversation happened between my clients and I is their way of assessing my profile for loan. I don’t understand - is he illiterate that if I am saying that I am a digital marketer and he doesn’t understand the meaning of it. I explained him everything in document and sent to him just like resume. I felt like I am applying for a job not a loan.
I ask a question- if I ask HDFC bank the same thing that I want to read the whole chats happened between you and your clients. Will they allow?
Ridiculous treatment! Not acceptable at all. I am surprised how HDFC hires this kind of person in the bank? This shows it was completely his will issue for not processing my loan file so now I just need my money back for not doing anything on my file and wasting my time.

During covid I lost my job they promise that in case job list we Pay 3 emi, but rejected in covid situation even sometime I don't money for wheat, but paying emi and many bounces of check. I was very frustrated to take hdfc ergo insurance and they don't close this emi that I don't want. .

I have very good relations with the bank but after applying for a home loan when i was told to inform the bank lawyer and i called him and tried to explain everything, but he was very rude to me about what i was trying to explain him.
I don't have enough knowledge about all this but he should treat us good.
