★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The manager there has a very bad mentality. Because I get into some trouble there. They have been hesitating about my problem ever since I became a man, they are not seeing me in any way after knowing the reason. I will be forced to go to the buyer protection department. The manager is a lady. This is extremely unfortunate for me.
Their agent has cheated us.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is the worst experience i have faced with any HDFC entity so far. Worst branch under kolkata zone. I have multiple issues pending for last 3 months which are not bring addressed even after sending repeated mails to manager. She and her team never responds to mails. Its still operating like a 19th century bank.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The staff extended their support to help me. But it is true that now a days very rarely phone calls are attended by the office- this is a very recent phenomenon. I haven't yet received the response of my mail enquiring certain topic. That’s the reason I had been to this branch and fortunately was treated well.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I have taken a home loan from HDFC Garia Branch in 2010. I am existing customer for last 10 years. My observations are as follows:
01. In the span of 10 years approximately i have called more than 50 times. 95% time calls are not attended and no call back received.
02. Never responded to mails send to official mail id. As a professional it is beyond me how this kind of attitude towards customer is accepted.
03. While taking the home insurance the HDFC Life representative misguided and assigned the insurance policy directly to the HDFC Ltd. In future if you want to discontinue the policy you can't because the policy is assigned to the bank and original insurance document are all mortgaged with the bank though you have to pay the premium every year. All pros and cons were not explained at the time of selling the policy and currently there is no representative of HDFC Life in Garia branch.
04. Loan closure process is very slow. They do not accept request for loan closure after 20th of every month. Once you close the loan they will take another 15 days to return the mortgaged document. For my case even after 15 days they were unable to provide me all original documents. FYI note that all all original documents are in another branch in the same city but they were unable to return the documents even after 15 days.
To sum up very very lethargic and they will never take that extra step to help their customers.
For any future loan i will stay away from HDFC LTD.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The staff are rude, incompetent,and as soon as their sales target is met,they completely stop attending your questions and clarifications. From start of my home loan there i have faced only issues, they are not clear about their lending procedures as well. I will not recommend HDFC home loan specially Garia branch for any loans.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very bad experience overall. Whenever you visit the branch, you have to waste 1:30 to 2hours valuable working hours before your turn comes- atleast 20minute outside the gate and atleast 1 hour after getting the token. Whenever you call, the landline number is always busy. They don't even bother to reply to your repeated mail. Processing is very very slow, any service request which is solved in a week in other bank, it will take atleast months here for some unknown reason ( staff probably forget to do that and needs repeated reminders). A big"No' to anybody thinking of taking loan from this branch.
