Extraordinary achievements start with unconventional thoughts. He was a man who dared to question, “Why can’t Indians have a home of their own with housing finance in the earlier years of their lives? Why should they have to wait till the end of their working careers?” Though the question was simple, the answer was not so. The uphill task notwithstanding, at an age of 66, when most people think of retirement, Mr. Parekh was determined to set up his most ambitious enterprise.
His lifelong dream of helping Indians own their home, as he had seen abroad during his student days, led to the formation of the Housing Development Finance Corporation Limited (HDFC) in 1977 and as they say, the rest is history.
It was the first of its kind in the country. His setting up of HDFC, without any financial assistance from the Government of India was a milestone in the Indian financial history. It was under Mr. Parekh’s leadership and direction that HDFC grew manifold while being strongly rooted in the principles of integrity, transparency and professionalism.
Mr. Parekh was a man of few words, and believed that strong views need not be expressed in strong words. He had a keen eye for talent and nurtured it by providing direction and ample learning opportunities.
He never underestimated the power of teamwork. He believed that the success of an organization was possible only with a group of dedicated professionals who shared a common goal to serve, and were willing to take reasonable risks.
Soon HDFC became a role model not only for the country but for the entire Asian region. His dream of providing better housing and living conditions for people was accomplished with an organization that was modelled on its international peers but was Indian at heart.

β β β β β Visited on 22 Jan 2021 (Yes dangerour Corona period) to release my property papers.
They checked temperature and sanitized my hands. Noted down my body temperature in visitor register.
Made sure that there are minimum people inside office and offered chair for people waiting outside. Maintained a distance of 2 feet between all chairs.
Very good arrangement.
Though they definitely need to work on reducing wait time and make arrangements for Vehicle parking

β β β β β Very bad experience. They told documents to be arranged only after loan was sanctioned i.e after 10 days not at the time I paid fees for issue of Loan. I would recommend never to take loan from HDFC. After that the executive started fighting on call. No effort taken and ultimately i have to hear the loss

β β β β β We have applied our housing Loan form Hdfc munirka branch Bank File no 652680938, they rejected our housing loan after six months and kept our paper for around four months, Took around 7000rs processing fee and not given loan and rejected.
They took so long to process our Loan we have to bear 14000 Interest penalty.
There is no response till now form bank.
There our deferring form Mr Karan gulati and Jaideep and Swati sbhrawal. This type of fraud banks makes huge amount of money.. Please return our processing fee

β β β β β Extremely good experience with HDFC Bank, quick loan, responsive representatives. Munirka branch is excellent one. Very fast, helping and knowledgeable staff. Although I was really late then my scheduled appointment (due to heavy rain in Delhi), still bank staff listen and helped me. I got my property document within 15-20 minutes.
Thank you HDFC.
PS: Just one small issue - parking is a serious concern around Munirka branch.

β β β β β I reached there to receive my original documents,but behaviour of person at counter was very annoying. He did misbehaved while I was just trying to see my documents. I think they don't have manners to talk to person other side of counter.

β β β β β I was a little sceptical visiting this place seeing all reviews, but overall it was a smooth process for collecting documents. I was given a token by guard and my turn came after 15-20 min as per order and documents were handed over after checking to me.

β β β β β No feeling for the customers.Calling from distant places to collect original papers but poor reception. Don't even bothered to offer water to drink.
Very rough behaviour.
Even govt Bank like SBI shows better hospitality to their customers.
Not recommend any one.
