★ ★ ★ ★ ★ भारत के अंतिम हिंदू सम्राट और पानीपत की दूसरी लड़ाई के नायक हेमचंद्र विक्रमादित्य की 600 वर्ष पुरानी हवेली आज जर्जर हाल में है। रेवाड़ी के कुतुबपुर मुहल्ले में स्थित इस हवेली की न तो प्रशासन सुध ले रहा है और न राजा के वारिस। इतिहास की यह धरोहर खत्म होने के कगार पर है। एक निजी संस्था ने इसे संजोने का काम शुरू किया था लेकिन वह भी बाद में पीछे हट गई इस हवेली में कई तहखाने भी बने हुए हंै। इसकी पहली मंजिल पुर्तगाली ढांचे पर बनी हुई है क्योंकि हेमू पुर्तगाल से गन पाउडर निर्यात करते थे। हेमू ने यहां पर ब्रास से निर्मित तोपें भी बनानी शुरू की थी, जिनकी ढलाई भी यहीं पर होती थी। रेवाड़ी में तोपचीवाड़ा नामक वह स्थान आज भी है। यहां पर तोपची रहा करते थे तथा तोपों की ढलाई हुआ करती थी। हेमू धार्मिक प्रवृति के थे और संस्कृत, हिंदी, फारसी, अरबी व गणित के ज्ञाता थे। उन्हें घुड़सवारी का बहुत शौक था और वह कुश्ती में भी माहिर थे।
The 600-year-old mansion of Hemchandra Vikramaditya, the last Hindu emperor of India and the hero of the Second Battle of Panipat, is in a dilapidated condition today. Neither the administration nor the king's heirs are taking care of this mansion located in the Qutubpur locality of Rewari. This heritage of history is on the verge of extinction. A private organization had started the work of nurturing it, but that too later withdrew, there are many basements in this mansion. Its first floor remains on a Portuguese structure as Hemu used to export gun powder from Portugal. Hemu also started making cannons made of brass here, whose casting was also done here. That place called Topchiwada is still there in Rewari. Artillery used to live here and there used to be a casting of guns. Hemu was of religious nature and was well versed in Sanskrit, Hindi, Persian, Arabic and Mathematics. He was very fond of horse riding and was also an expert in wrestling.
