★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The Mehta family was very warm and welcoming and made me feel like one of them. Their house is beautiful and very sensitively restored, it is a living body of knowledge for architecture students. The location is super convenient as it is close to most of the tourist locations by foot, railway station and airport is just 10-15 minutes away. If you want a flavour of gujarati culture and a place like home, I highly recommend this home stay!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I stayed in the Heritage House of the Family Mehta for one month and it has been a great experience. The family is very welcoming that from the very first day I felt myself at home. Every day I ate different kinds of freshly cooked, amazingly delicious food – I have traveled to India several times, but I have never eaten such delicious food anywhere else in India! The hosts made sure that my room was kept clean and my stay in their house pleasant. All family members are very nice and friendly that I enjoyed every single day of my stay in Ahmedabad. The Heritage House itself is unique with its rich history. I definitely advise you to stay with the Family Mehta. You will definitely enjoy it!!!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A beautiful heritage house staying with a lovely, friendly family (4 generations). They made us feel at home and we had some amazing home cooked food. A very authentic experience. The house was located in the old town which is a great area to explore. If I return to Ahmedabad I would definitely stay here again. Highly recommend!

It Is Restore By FRENCH GOVERMENT & HERITAGE DEPARTMENT Of AHMEDABAD. They have 16 Rooms From Which they Are Providing 4 Rooms For Guests. Just To Maintain & Save Heritage. Its Just Home Away From Home , Their Family is also Living In the Same. They are Musical Family . The price on one night stay is 2500 per person.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ UNESCO world heritage site. A restored 200 year old Gujarati house. Beautiful ceilings, antique furniture, films like Raees and Kai po che shot here. Mehta family is welcoming. 90 year old Mehra grandfather speaks fluent English. It is a B& B now very reasonably priced for experiencing history and a legacy lifestyle. The stairs are wooden, nartow and steep so not for the elderly with joint issues.

People here are super kind. They reminded me of my childhood when I would visit my grandmas place. The amount of love was similar. Especially of Mrs. Mehta. I am an introvert and take years to connect to people; but, they made it possible in just a day.
A must stay, for love and life seekers. This place has it in abundance.
Just a little downside at cleanliness side. Washrooms need renovation and cleaning. Also they lack hand wash.
Probably, Its just me. If you are not too obsessed with cleanliness like me. This place is heaven of Ahmedabad
