The writeups are at such a height and angle that is too difficult for a normal person to read, unless they were all meant for kids or dwarfs, it's sad to see such waste of money on something that is not even useful, besides there was no electricity so visibility was bad plus they couldn't open the first floor coz it was too dark in there...

Historical Museum in Hatimpura chowk of Ahmednagar, Maharashtra. Ahmednagar Historical Museum & Research Centre has many manuscripts, coins, historical documents and many other fascinating artifacts. It was a two-room museum. current location - Hutatma Chowk, near collector office.

A museum (/mjuːˈziːəm/ mew-ZEE-əm; plural musea or museums) is an institution that cares for (conserves) a collection of artifacts and other objects of artistic, cultural, historical, or scientific importance. Many public museums make these items available for public viewing through exhibits that may be permanent or temporary.[1] The largest museums are located in major cities throughout the world, while thousands of local museums exist in smaller cities, towns and rural areas. Museums have varying aims, ranging from serving researchers and specialists to serving the general public. The goal of serving researchers is increasingly shifting to serving the general public. There are many types of museums, including art museums, natural history museums, science museums, war museums, and children's museums. Amongst the world's largest and most visited museums are the Louvre in Paris, the National Museum of China in Beijing, the Smithsonian Institution in Washington, D.C., the British Museum in London, the National Gallery in London, and Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City. As of the 2010s, the continuing acceleration in the digitization of information, combined with the increasing capacity of digital information storage, is causing the traditional model of museums (i.e. as static bricks-and-mortar "collections of collections" of three-dimensional specimens and artifacts) to expand to include virtual exhibits and high-resolution images of their collections that patrons can peruse, study, and explore from any place with Internet.[citation needed]According to The World Museum Community, there are more than 55,000 museums in 202 countries.[2]

Pride of Ahmednagar. Best place to visit in Nagar. It portrait the historic importance of the city. Historical coins, swords, pots, monuments and literature is available here for visitors to see. The best part here is the various stones found around the Ahmednagar city. Precious and rare stones collection is amazing. For the first time I saw Shivrai Hon (Currency founded by Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj). Proud of my city.

Entry fees is 50 rupees. Main attraction of this museum is it contains dummy structures of all historical places in ahmednagar like miniature Baug Roza, Farah Baug, Bibi ka Makbara by which you can know and understand how these buildings used to look like in their prime time. To click photos you need to pay extra money. Many Persian documents in museum but no translation. Some islamic paintings are presented. One of the thing to see in museum is early map of India by British.
