★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We stayed in Haldia Bhavan for 2 days.excellent place for a short tour from Kolkata.... location is very good yet calm and quiet...rooms r very very cheap in comparison to their quality and space
....food is good and dam cheap.....best to go as a group....

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I have stayed here couple of times with my family and friends. Ambience is good, food is excellent, view is superb and the staff are very helpful. It is an excellent place to unwind and relax. Just 2 and half hours drive from Kolkata, including break at Kolaghat.

It is one of the most preferred guest houses in the State by the officials, industrialists, travelers and tourists due to its attractive location, maintenance, service and hospitality. Located on the mouth of Hooghly River, Haldia Bhawan offers excellent river and sea view for the tourists. ... Just about two hundred meter away from Haldia Bhawan, one can witness sailing of giant ships carrying oil, auto mobiles, coal, and iron ore etc. and docking along the marine drive area.

This property, maintained by Government of West Bengal, has very good accommodation and fooding facilities. The location of Haldia Bhavan is something that would give you a nice feel. It is located just beside the Hooghly River and Haldia Dock is nearby! The name of the rooms of Haldia Bhavan are named after different rivers.
