Staff is nice and friendly, which is why two starts.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I love the Chole Bhature, period ! I am health conscious, but this is the only place that i know where I will cheat with a Chole Bhature.
All the four stars are only for the chole bhature.
Clearly the ratings are down for the restaurant, but there are obvious reasons for it.
A. Going by the other reviews, the rest of the menu is a mixed bag. I would advise the management to cut down to a simple single page menu with just a few items that are loved by the majority.
B. The tables and chairs haven't been changed, probably since 1944. Pun intended.
C. The staff lacks enthusiasm and professionalism. If you cannot improve this, make it a self service dine-in.
D. Improve lighting in the sitting area.
E. Clean the space and bring up the overall hygiene levels.
Kudos to the hard working staff and the management for maintaining the authenticity and consistency over the decades.
