HolidayAlong - New Delhi

I had recently concluded my tour of NE India of Assam, Arunachal & Meghalaya on 24.01.2020. The experience was unsatisfactory which I want to share. Please read till end to avoid being fooled by the travel agency M/s Holiday Along: 1. The car driver had complained that the tour itinerary given to him and to me differs and therefore he had to log extra kms during the sightseeing and was on the verge of asking extra money from me. 2. At Tawang the hotel manager did not allow us to checkout, stating that they had not received the payment from Holiday Along and we had to wait till the payment was received by the hotel. 3. At Bomdila, Tenga, the hotel did not allowed us to check in stating that the payment was not made by Holiday Along. We had to to freeze in the bitter cold outside the hotel till the payment was made to them. 4. At Guwahati we had opted for hotel Grand Starline based on their recommendation. At the last moment just one hour before check-in we got a call that there is change in hotel giving some stupid reasons and a downgraded hotel Blue Moon was allotted at Bhuban Rd, Uzan Bazar where even street lights was not available. It seems it is their usual practice to recommend good hotel while booking and then downgrade the same at the very last moment living you with no option. To cross check, I called up hotel Grand Starline who informed that there was no such booking in my name from Holiday Along. There was so much crookedness in their dealing that the telephone no. given on the hotel voucher of Grand Starline was that of their own back office employee. When we had talked to their representative Mr. Jugal Kishore Sharma who turned out to be partner of Holiday Along was very rude saying that you can go and complain wherever you want. Throughout the tour we had continuous tension thinking whether we will be allowed to check-in or check-out at the hotel. We request all the enthusiastic traveller to review this travel agency Holiday Along while deciding your North East India tour. They are also poor in planning tour itinerary. However I have given the rating of 2 stars only for the good services given by the driver. This is also further to state that Holiday Along is not at all aware of the local regulations which I would like to narrate: The great partner of Holiday Along Mr. Jugal Sharma had informed, in spite of repeatedly checking with him, that at Tawang to visit Boomla Pass - India China Border, no permission is required from the army which is totally in correct. By sheer chance during talk with our driver we came to know that such permission is a must. We had to rush with all our IDs on whatsapp with the hotel manager at Hotel Takthstang in Tawang on 14.01.2020 for visit on 15.01.2020 and with great difficulty the permission was obtained.Thanks to the driver had he not informed us we would have definitely missed the very interesting and beautiful place to be seen. Travellers please think twice before booking your tour through Holiday Along.

We all reached Mumbai airport on 18th night by 9-30 pm. Our total tour experience was very nice. We all enjoyed pleasure through out the tour. We appreciate your tour program and arrangements & thank you & your team for your kind support.Only the last day stay at Guwahati hotel was not up to the mark. There was no cafeteria in this hotel, ventilation is not proper to rooms & congested. Remaining all hotels accommodation s where nice. Due to Early sun set by 5.00 pm. we get less time for sightseeing.We all enjoyed the total tour program very nicely. All locations were nice. We all will have very Sweet memories for everything for ever.

The experience we had during the trip was amazing! The staff of holiday along was exceptionally courteous and everyday to tackle any queries we had. The driver assigned was friendly, professional and knew all the relevant tourist spots. All the hotels provided had hygienic rooms and delicious food. However, there's always room for improvement and i would suggest a slightly better pricing.

Took their services for a Meghalaya trip around new year. Had made most of the payment well in advance so that we don't face a dearth of good stay options as it's likely for hotels to get overbooked during that time of the year. Still, most of the hotel bookings were made on the very day we reached a place. Imagine the options that would be available on the last week of December when its vacation time everywhere! This last minute booking left us with no decent choice. The hygiene of the hotels were concerning. Stuffy rooms, smelly corridors, stained blankets. Our itinerary involved staying at different locations on different days and for all of those places we got our hotel confirmation just a day prior. For Mawlynnong, infact, we didn't even get the hotel booking done by the agent, he asked us to seek a place to spend the night, all by our own. The driver did help us in finding a stay but we found this very irresponsible on agent's part to ask us to find a hotel. The agent was responsive and understanding when we complaint about the hotels but that was of no help and even he could not do anything since last minute booking had rendered us with no alternatives. Overall, we felt cheated and just for the accommodation part, the blissful sights in the day used to take a tormentous turn at nights. Please don't take their services especially if you are travelling to north east.

Starting from planning and editing itinerary, Mr. Jugal was very petient and professional. Good response for any change request while planning the itinerary. The vehicle was good and clean throughout the journey. Also the driver was good, professional and well aware of local information for basic guidance. I appreciate the support we got from Mr. Jugal till the end of the trip wherever needed. Overall the trip experience, right from the planning till return to the home was very good, affordable and friendly. Highlights from my trip: Chandigarh - Shimla (2 nights) - Manali (3 nights) - Amritsar (2 nights) Activities done: Many temples, markets, vallies, sightseeing, Photoshoot in local outfits, Live snowfall experience, Tube riding, Skiing, Zipline crossing, Ladder crossing, Horse riding, River rafting, Paragliding (wasn't available due to snowfall) Suggestions: If you could arrange the sports activities in reasonable rates via some local person, that would be great.

Poor service. We were given some of the worst rooms possible in Shillong and given an absurd reason of it being new year's week, since we had paid and asked to do bookings two months in advance to avoid this very issue. In Mawlynnong, we were informed at the last moment that we had no room booked for that day and that we had to find it ourselves. Instead of relaxing, we spent two hours searching for a stay for the night. Ultimately a villager took pity on us and asked if we would adjust in a small dingy room which we had to as we had no other choice. Upon finding a better room some time later, the agent refused to book it for us even after putting us through such mental harrasment.

Have completed multiple trips with Holiday Along. Everything was properly planned and executed. Their executive Mr.Jugal is always approachable and supportive. He provided Cost effective packages with good itinerary as per our needs. Keep it UP ??
