Mr Apoorva is an expert in Beekeeping and related businesses He is known as Beeman Got an opportunity to attend 5 hours training program on Saturday 6th March 2021 in Honey Day Bee Farms along with 10+ people Apoorva explained the basics of Bees, Heney and Beekeeping. He briefly explained international market and India's position in international market. He explained when Beekeeping as a farming business stated in India, major states and his own experience as Student and how he progressed in Beekeeping. He told us he had his basic training on Beekeeping with Mr Shanthaviraiah, Metikurke village in Chitradurga District when he was studying Engineering. Apoorva's explanation of types of Bees for Beekeeping and he explained Thudve Jenu in detail its life cycle, box construction, how to put bees in to box, care and maintaininance. He explained seasonality and extra care during mansoon also highlighted enemies of Bees and how to overcome. He explained Honey processing and harvesting procedure and Honey quality based on the types of trees and flower. He demonstrated the Honeycomb by opening the Beebox. He showed us the development of Bees from Eggs Larva to full grown bees we saw Queen Bee, male bees. He also showed us how to keep sugar water during rainy and half season when there are no flowers. We explained how to safeguard from Bee bites and first'aid when there is bite. In the office we saw different varities of Honey in small bottles. At the end Apoorva explained the various Govt and KVIC financial assistance and subsidy available for Beekeeping farmers and offered assistance for intrested people . Apoorva suggested to keep 2 boxes in Terrace for city people and no of boxes for farmers depending on land area and types of trees available and also offered to train on practical basis at the Beekeeping farmers place if we are ready to work on volunteer basis. Overall this was a wonderful training program and I am going ahead with Beekeeping in our village fram in Chitradurga District.
