★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Just got a scam call from this company. He said he was in LA. Obviously a lie. Tried to tell me he was calling from the IT department to do a checkup on my computer. When I told him my computer doesn't need a checkup and that he was lying, he told me to shut up.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ These SCAMMERS won't stop calling no matter what. I've been getting these calls for years. The goal of these companies is to gain remote access to your computer to install super expensive antivirus software that you pay for but do not need.
These are my favorite telemarketer calls because they'll stay on the phone with you for much longer than most scammers. Sometimes I'll explain to them that I know it's a scam and that most Americans are familiar with this scam. They get so mad and that entertains me.
Most times I'll play along like I believe them and I'm concerned and confused. I'll ask them things like, "which computer?" "Wait, how did you get my phone number if it's not connected my computer?" "Okay, what should I do next?" "Will this cost me money?" I interrupt them a lot with dumb questions and laugh to myself as they get more and more frustrated.
I don't even own the "windows computer" that they want to "fix". I figure that's 5 minutes they aren't successfully scamming others.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Getting scam calls from someone who says they're from Horizon Infotech, and they are picking up bad virus signals from a (non-exist ant) computer at my house. Have received at least one call twice a month. Better check this out Infotech-reporting to FTC.
