★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I always see this place while traveling to home town (Domewadi, Otur)... Since I belong to "pure" vegetarian family, we prefer to visit pure Veg restaurants only... And that too, we all like misal... :) but Today being alone, I got chance to visit this restaurant as it was always in my mind because of its name "चवदार कोकण“... Even after I had meal @ my in laws place (awsari) in noon, being pure non vegetarian, I wanted try this place.
I took Paplet unlimited thali based owners recommendation. Paplet fry Fish was fresh and tasty.... Bangda curry was awesome... Prawn curry was also good but still there is scope of improvement. There was single piece of bombil but it was so tasty that I feel of having more... Since my stomach was already full, I couldn't had it :).... Rice roti, solkadhi and indrayani rice was cherry on cake... It was worth to stop and have that thali...
I liked ambience a lot as it has paintings and pictures of chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj and Kokan nature trails...
Improvement:
1. Prawn curry
2. Should have dessert as well
3. Gents toilet is not clean... I always say, Restaurant's overall hygiene is always judged by washroom...
Owner is from Kokan... And like kokani Manus, he is very polite and humble...At the time bill payment, He Ask for feedback and improvements....
Staff is also good...
