★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I visited Jai Malhar last week and have to say, I enjoyed every single bite of the meal there. Considering the quality, the price is reasonable. There was also plenty of room for bigger groups.
Menu is extensive and has a lot of variety.
Though this place is pretty popular for its Thalis and Raan, I would like to mention some of the dishes which I think are a little underrated but definitely worth a try :
- Mutton Kala masala Gravy /Fry.
- Murg BBQ Handi
- Chicken lollipop
A must try.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ As the holy month of Shravan gets closer the urge of meat lovers for gorging upon their favorite non veg preparation gets hyped up. The reason behind is they'll be abstained from meat for a month. A week before shravan is celebrated as Akhaad party by these enthusiasts. Hotel Jay Malhar bhojnalay has also organised a similar festival. They're serving some Royal feasts during these days. Some specialities to be named are as follows.
Chicken Raan: Everybody loves tandoori chicken right? People got saturated and came up with something called as afghani tandoor or malai tandoor. But this one over here is by far the best whole chicken preparation I had till date. The plump chicken well marinated with the choicest of herbs and spices, and roasted till perfection. Served along with a bowl of pure desi ghee to be poured upon before enjoying it.
Chicken Dum Biryani: This dish doesn't need any introduction, the perfect biryani with well cooked chicken. I would like to suggest to reduce the quantity of oil a bit.
Murg BBQ handi: Similar to the crowd favorite butter chicken. Thick n creamy textured gravy with succulent chicken pieces. Taste was awesome
Mutton kala masala fry & gravy: This preparation was made into an appetizer as well as gravy dish. These are their specialty dishes. The authentic taste of gavran kala masala was great. The mutton was also perfectly cooked and had absorbed the flavours well.
Special mutton thali: The typical thali having bhakri/roti, mutton sukkha, mutton gravy, alani soup etc etc was a perfect meal for mutton lover.
Overall the place provides delicious food, and this was evident as the restaurant was fully occupied. Would love to visit once again.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I have visited Jay malhar Bhojnalaya to try their akhad special menu. The ambience is good with huge indoor seating area for family & friends. This place really authentic Maharashtrian style food.
I really liked these dishes -

Overall had a good experience at this place!

I had a lot of food and liked all.
Everything was fresh, perfect in flavours, juicy and so delicious.
You should try -
Chicken Raan, Mutton Kala Masala Fry, Murg Saoji Kebab, Murg Shahi Kebab, Chicken Lollipop Masala, Chicken Biryani (Dum), Special Mutton Thali, Paneer Basil Kebab, Paneer Kandhari Kebab, Murg BBQ Handi,Mutton Kala Masala (Jai Malhar Special), Murg Kandhari Kebab and Veg Biryani.
Worth Trying.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Heard alot about this place ,so finally thought of trying their special food menu.
Ambience is pretty good ,well maintained and sanitized regularly.
Such a huge seating area, Perfect for family gatherings and parties.
Now coming to food we have tried their Special mutton thali ,loved the flavours , everything was freshly prepared full of flavours.
Tried their Chicken biryani and Bbq chicken handi both were unique in taste and scrumptious.
The dish which we liked the most is chicken raan.Whole chicken is marinated with their secret spices and than grilled to perfection.
A must try dish if you visit this place .

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ After hearing alot about the food here, we finally decided to give this place a visit. To begin with the place has a huge dining area which we certainly didn't expect. Liked how all the necessary precautions were taken by the management to ensure safety of the customers. The ambiance is basic yet nice, nothing much to talk about.
But what should be talked about is the food here! They are celebrating the Aakhad Festival by serving their Special Chicken Raan. And boy was it delicious! A whole chicken is marinated with a plethora of spices and grilled to absolute perfection. Not only was it tender and juicy but also rich in taste. Literally to the last bite. The desi ghee topping for wonders to the flavours. Definitely a must try!
Apart from that we also tried a host of other kebabs and biryanis. All the kebabs we ordered were mind blowing. The chicken pieces were cooked perfectly, had the right amount of marination and were tender and juicy. Do try their kebabs. We also tried their Veg and Chicken briyani which were equally good. Overall our lunch was satisfying and delish.
Although I do feel there is scope for improvement in the service department. The servers were a lil slow and unorganised, which I feel could be improved. But apart from that my experience here was really good. Do give this place a visit, you won't be disappointed :)
