β β β β β Located in Fariapukur, this is a small food joint. The unique thing about this hotel is you would get normal Bengali thalis, as well as Mughlai items such as biriyani, chicken kasha and chap.
During peak hours, a lot of localites flock to this place - especially during lunch and dinner.
I have tried almost all their items and here's my 2 cents - Except Biriyani, everything else is great. The biriyani is decent for the price range but it is better to avoid it here. Go for tadka, roti and the thalis. You will definitely love it.
Overall, it's a decent place!

β β β β β Outstanding food junction in Hatibagan. If you are in Hatibagan area and looking for lunch solutions in Bengali style, then you need to come down to Hotel Priya. Hotel Priya is located opposite side of Faria Pukur lane and Kinnar Kinnori. I usually take rumali roti with mutton kosha. This is absolutely outstanding. This is not upscale or family restaurant, bit cozy. Daily office public, medical representatives usually takes lunch here. Food quality is outstanding. Price isn't cheap as food quality is really good. you can Bengali thali with fish, dal, rice, alu vaja or any vaja. Chicken and Mutton kosha also there as well. When you visit here, please take roti with mutton kosha. In the evening, you can get Mutton Biriyani, Mutton chap, rumali roti, chicken bharta, chicken kosha etc. I must say, food ia really good here.

β β β β β A bit costly as per quality. Taste is good its more or less clean only. Remains open till 4 pm as informed to us.
We cannot deny the importance of food in our lives. As it is the basic need to survive. Yet some people waste not thinking that there are still some people that do not get any of it. We should always be careful while taking a meal on our plates.
In other words, we should take only that much that our stomach can allow. Or else there will beΒ wasting of food. In India there are many people living in slums, they do not have proper shelter. Moreover, they are not able to have even a one-time meal. They starve for days and are always in a state of sickness.
Many children are there on roads who are laboring to get a daily meal. After seeing conditions like these people should not dare to waste food. Moreover, we should always provide food to the needy ones as much as we can.
Indian cuisine is always filled with a lot of herbs and spices. Furthermore, the specialty of Indian dishes is, it is always filled with curries. Whether veg or non-veg the dishes are in curry form. Moreover, Indian cuisine has so many varieties of food that has further branches. The Branch consists of Mughal cuisine which is mostly of non-vegetarian dishes. Also, almost every Indian love Muglia dishes.

β β β β β Located Just Opposite To Hatibagan Aminia Outlet, This Outlet Serves The Purpose of Fast Food at Affordable Prices ?
Had Mutton Biryani There. Decent Experience in Quality But Could Have Been Much Better in Quantity (INR 190). Space for seating is limited and extremely congested.

β β β β β A typical Bengali food hotel. Good taste of dishes. Always crowded. Good behavior of staff. Cash and Card both mode of payment available. Rush in early if you want all kinds of fish to be available.

β β β β β If you want to taste authentic Bengali food, especially fish and don't mind eating in a no frills cramped set up, then this place must be on your bucket list.
The size of the fish is simply unmatched & same can be said about the taste.
Have been visiting this place for last 15 years, the quality of food is consistent.
Must try - Rui Poshto, Macher Matha diye Dal, Shukto & other delicacies of fish.
Mutton is also good, but don't bother because Golbari is at a stone's throw distance.

β β β β β This used to be a less than modest eatery some years back and slowly they have grown in reputation by adding multiple dishes. The seating arrangement is very limited. The food is kind of average and nothing to be too excited about. It is decent. The quantity is laughable

β β β β β The good old charm of North kolata.... Calling it 'hidden gem' might sound like exaggeration and i might be biased due to the old memories around this place, but given a chance i would always like to give it a shot.
PS: Mutton chaap is a must try.
