About Hotel Uhl, Jogindernagar
Till 19th century, Tourism in Himachal Pradesh was restricted only to a limited movement of pilgrims to a few spiritual destinations in around the hills. Only when the British established their chain of hill stations did tourism receive recognition in the State. Tourism activity received a shot in the arm when British declared Shimla “The Summer Capital of India” in 1864. Post independence, more investment in the infrastructure sector led to opening up of Tourism in the State. However the biggest boost to tourism occurred in the mid 80s and 90s.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Cosy hotel with friendly staff, considering this is an off best and sleepy little town. A very good stopover for Barot camping sites. Rooms are value for money and the limited menu is ok.

One can rest here before heading to Manali or Mandi. Baijnath temple is a nearby attraction and Bir Billing Paragliding site.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Nice place to stay in joginder Nagar. Ambience is on average side but weather can make it pleasant. It is very beautiful when it rains. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Rooms are neat and clean. We enjoyed the stay as drizzling made it heaven with double rainbow and a great time with the family. We enjoyed the food served by the chef. They promised us the best food and they delivered. If government give some additional attention it would be great.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Located on road and clean. The washrooms were hygienic, the staff was cooperative and friendly. The rooms were clean and spacious. In the morning, we were served with warm water, the rooms had geyser and tv on the upper floor.
The service however of the restaurant was not so good. We ordered tea which was around 30Rs per person but it wasn't good. Rest, I'd highly recommend to stay in this hotel and eat outside in some restaurant. When you exit the hotel you have a grocery store at your left, you may order tea there, very friendly people and good things at a reasonable price.
