★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Tried Vaishali Special Masala Dosa & Fried Idli. Big Dosa which can serve two & Chutney is Good. But Sambar is too liquid not like South Indian. Fried idli is good. Price range is medium.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Vaishali is iconic right since my days in Ferguson College, when we could only aspire to eat @Vaishali. I am glad its still aspirational.
The ambience is young and vibrant and a fair mix of youth and the ever youthful loyalists. The food is a given classic and am glad that they have consistently maintained very high standards.
Their Mysore masala dosa and the betroot cutlet are mouth watering as always. The cutlet is crispy on the outside, and yet every veggie inside can be tasted.
If you have been to Pune, and not visited Vaishali, then you have not revisited your youth.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My Pune colleague took me to this place, it was odd time around 5 pm, then also it was super crowded. It is one of the most popular and oldest restaurant in Pune, located on busy and happening FC Road.
On the recommendation, I tried SPDP, their famous Sev Puri Dahi Puri. It was amazing, unique and delicious. Then tried their veg cutlet and filter coffee and chai. Filter Coffee was super authentic and it is a must try here.

The oldest and most famous place for its south indian cuisines and "sambar". It is heavy crowded place till noon, and its acceptable. Must go are maisoor masala dosa with extra sambar. Its ghee making style and taste is heavenly. Try something from menu and a hard coffee, just lights up the mood.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The food was good, but was way better 2 years ago. The place is hyped up, you will generally see a queue due to the hype. I can tell that vaishali is the best South Indian restaurant in pune though, loved the service, the waiter took good care and was very efficient in his work.

Simply delicious food. Went here after alomost 2 years but still the consistency in the taste is well kept. Had my all time favorite Mysore Masala Dosa. Tried the same dish in other restaurants but was no match to Vaishali's. No one can beat Vaishali's MMD anywhere in world.
Next had fried idli. Crispy and super tasty. Left the restaurant with a big smile on my face with memories refreshed. ☺️

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Visited this popular restaurant for breakfast. It is usually crowded place and have atleast 5-10 mins waiting but we went really early so got in without any waiting time. Food here is at reasonable price and quantity is also decent. Quality can be a little improved as compared to their competitive south indian restaurants. Staff is friendly. Overall lovely experience except the payment part since they only accept cash which I find a place of improvement. There is a lot of hype about this place and it is worth it.

Always crowded. Expect a wait time of 5-10 mins . Coming to the food, we had SPDP, Mysore masala dosa , cutlet and a sandwich. Everything was good. SPDP was great.
Pricing was as expected . Service was great too considering the crowd.
