Hunnarshala works for research and development. Must visit when u visit bhuj. Their interior and architect is the best example of traditional work.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very inspired by this organization which works for people with the people, helps to rebuild their habitat with keeping in mind of social and culture aspects and the local material provideding work for local people.
You should visit the campus and see the different building materials used and ways of using it. Its good for architecture students it also conducts work shops and also has a school for students who want to learn carpentery and masonary.

They have expertise on rammed earth construction and collaborates with architects.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ At Hunnarshala, all the structures are made using clay, woods, fabrics, mud and palm leaves as a roof as well as wooden structures. It is interaction between scientific and modern building science and traditional knowledge suggested directions for strengthening engagement of artisans to deliver high quality buildings, infrastructure and community spaces.
Due to use of all natural materials like clay and mud for making structures, Atmosphere there is cool and satisfying. It's worth it.
