★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Cheated by their agent .... Misguided by bank employee to do an investment, almost forcefully,I was informed that it was one time investment but later I knew it a ECS scheme.... As I denyed to pay My principal amount is blocked for next 5yrs... Interest Earning will be as per saving account rate, they are saying... But I don't know whether I'll get back my money or not,As the invested amount has gone down....

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I have an extremely bitter experience with ICICI Prudential Life Insurance company. 10 years back someone came to my house, who are posted in ICICI bank. They remain standing there and catch the innocent persons for a policy, and I was a victim of that. He came to my house and told me with pen and paper how I would be benefitted if I invest in their company. I was always against any life insurance policy. He posed in such a way that it is a sort of mutual fund and investing in it is good for me. On good faith I signed every paper and after 10 years I came to know when people from different branches of ICICI Prudential started keeping coming to my house, that too, when the maturity date was over, and it was "vested" to the company and I do not have any way to withdraw the whole amount. The company also did not inform me through mails or letters to my address. What they sent (two mails, one in April and another in July), was useless, and no "quotation" from the company was received and they did not inform me that if I do not withdraw the amount well 15 September, 19, my money would be vested. I wrote to the company, and they gave me false information like the person who came to my house for the policy 10 years hence. While writing to the company in their Mumbai office, I had slight hope that they may consider my case of withdrawing the whole amount and they were buying times. So finally I decided it is futile to waste my time to write to the company, I went to a branch of Prudential. I was given a warm welcome and the person insisted me to opt for certain option in which I would get monthly pension of a paltry sum. I told him that if I opt for another option, what would I get. He became angry and said what he had said was good for me (=good for the company as they look into the interest of the company where they are employed), and said I would get Rs 500.00 more than what I would get for another option, which he had said very vaguely. They are . employees and look for the interest of their masters, not for the policy-holders. I had at last to give in. Now I feel again I had been duped.
This company is looting the Indian public. Their agents are tutored to do so, and general people are looted like anything. This is what the MNC Insurance companies are doing in India, and the government is a silent spectator as they have allowed to loot the public.
PLEASE DO NOT GO FOR ANYTHING WITH THIS INSURANCE COMPANY unless you are an expert in this field. Still they will do their business of looting and their employees are mere instrument to their purpose of looting.
Just now I saw a review by someone where she has said she had been cheated. CHEATING IS THEIR BUSINESS.
Beware of this company!
