★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The club seems to have good quality designs and looks like they are using good tiles, stones and materials. I visted with my family to see it. We were impressed and wanted to purchase the membership early. However the person dealing with memberships Mr Dharampal Gupta was absolutely rude and doesnt want to answer any questions like:
(1) what if the project is not finished on time?
(2) why is the donation being asked for in a diff company?
(3) whats the format of the 80g receipt for the donation receipt and can i show it to my CA beforehand?
(4) what if Imperial Club has a problem with DDA in the future , what happens to our membership.
Instead of giving us any comfort with educated and reasonable responses to these questions he told us to basically go from there as we are asking too many questions and he doesnt want our money. I simply mentioned examples of hundreds of real estate projects which are semi completed including the society right across the road and this project is also underway since 5 years plus. But his stance on any probing question is that we are people of mistrust and he is not required to answer any question and doesnt want people like us as members and therefore we should leave.
I would urge people to do thorough diligence as the responses, or lack thereof, seems dubious specially with the approach of the people appointed by them who are dealing with potential members. The ownerships etc seem dubious , the website is down, there is no mention of the background of the developers or promoters, there is no contact centre except a guard at the gate. But still they are very high on attitude. They seem to want to work with people who will fold their hands and give them money without asking any questions.
