The seniors misbehave in the name of discipline.
This place becomes totally unhygienic during monsoon and in Kolkata there's plenty of rain coming so expect to face these unhygienic conditions.
Note: the water flood everything that's on the ground floor meaning the same water which comes out from the toilet will be present inside the area where you will have your food.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ IMU has two campuses, one in Mumbai and another one is this. It is best known institute for marine engineers and polyvalent officers. This campus is very well organised, good infrastructure. Canteen is good also.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It is one of the oldest government run Maritime Research University in India. Located in Taratala next to Indian Institute of Hotel Management and opposite of Taratala Police Station. This Institute has the latest Diesel Engine Simulator Lab for Class 1, 2 and Class 4 candidates. The faculties are the most renowned and the best in the field and very friendly.
