Such a waste of great food because of pathetic service. Good for only parcel, avoid dining in here at all costs. Completely a waste of money and time.

The hotel is comfortable to stay, tasty food, quantity of food is appropriate. The hotel restaurant is also crazily running. Rooms are big, airy with geyser. Their service are really fast. The breakfast starts from 7am onwards. We ordered masala dosa & onion tomato uttapam, taste was good and size you can see in the picture. The dress of waiters in the restaurant resembles the original Indian coffee house of Kolkata.

The Indian Coffee Workers’ Co-operative Society Limited, Jabalpur is celebrated its Diamond Jubilee recently. The employees of the Society only can become member of the Society as well as Shareholders. The membership will be automatically ceased after retirement/resignation. Recruitments are being done at the Head Office, Jabalpur, from the applicants (males only) between the ages of 19 to 25. No direct recruitment to the higher post. The promotions only fill the vacancy of the higher posts. Management The Management of the Society is vested in a managing Committee, being elected by the members, from among them. The term of the Committee is for five years. ISO Certificate The Society is certified with the ISO 9001:2008 standard by British Standards Institution (BSI), for maintaining the standard and quality of products, hygienic condition, decent behaviour, precautions for the safety, keeping of records efforts for the Customers satisfaction etc. after their audit & inspection, the Society. Achievements The Society has achieved the Award from World Book of Records, London, UK, considering that, our Society has made a spectacular successful Story in the history of Co-operative movements. History:- The Co-operative movement in India is more than 100 years old and it has a long history in India. The Co-operative movement has spread to various sectors and one of the latest fields is the consumer movement. But its growth was wonderful. The Government of India established Coffee Board in early 1940s, during British rule in India, with a view to propagate drinking of coffee, and sale of coffee seeds. In furtherance of this object coffee Board established India Coffee Houses in various Cities in India. This was being continued even after independence. But in the end of 1957, due to loss suffered by the Govt., it was decided to close down the Coffee Houses, resulted in retrenchment of several employees working in these coffee houses. In order to face this serious situation and to save these jobless Labourers, the All India Coffee Board Labour Union interfered and came forward in the matter. Thus the union Leader Shri. A.K. Gopalan, along with these Labourers met then Prime Minister Shri. Pt. Jawaharlal Nehru and he advised them to form separate co-operative Societies in that areas where they retrenched and run Coffee Houses of Labourers (thus 14 Societies were formed in different parts of India). As a part of this movement, the Jabalpur Labour Union also came forward and the help and support of Union President, Shri. L.N. Mehrotra, Vice President Shri. P. Sadasivan Nair and other members of union, at Jabalpur (Madhya Pradesh), formed a Co-operative Society, in the name and style of Indian Coffee Workers’ Co-operative Society Limited, Jabalpur. The Society Registered on 11.04.1958 (Regd. No.1485). The Society started its branches in the name of “Indian Coffee House” and 1st branch is opened at Jabalpur on 09.01.1958. In the beginning there were only 16 members in the Society and a very nominal Capital of Rs.1,365.00. Within a very short term, it has flourished in to a fine institution in the hospitality services and has set new standard in efficiency of service and built a superior brand image which is attracted and accepted by the public at large. The Indian Coffee Houses win the heart of lacs of public by its style. The public from the entire field such as Professors, Lecturers, Students, Lawyers, Doctors, Students, journalists, Police Officials, Govt. Personnel from different departments, Children to Veteran are the regular visitors of the Indian Coffee Houses. The Society could make a spectacular successful Story in the history of Co-operative movements and it is an ideal one in this Field. Considering all these features, the Society has honoured by the World book of records London, United Kingdom. Now, during the Diamond Jubilee year, the Society has 139 branches inclusive several Indian Coffee Houses, Lodges, Canteens, Guest Houses and more than 5000 employees spreaded over 20 States of India.
