The Institute is affiliated to U.P. Technical University. Lucknow and is approved by A.I.C.T.E. The institute is also a member of I.S.T.E. and CII and recognized by Textile Institute, Manchester, UK. The main thrust areas of the Institute are A) Human Resource Development B) Design Creation and Development, C) Research & Development and D) Technical Support Services to the Industry. Location The Institute is located in Bhadohi, which is 45 Kms away from Holy City Varanasi and 75 Kms from Allahabad. The campus of IICT is about 4 Kms from Bhadohi Railway Station located at the outskirts of Bhadohi town on Varanasi- Bhadohi Main Roadand is free from pollution providing a peaceful atmosphere for studies and research. The campus is spread over 10 acres of land comprising of State of the art Administrative building with space for Classrooms, Laboratories including Computer lab with own V-SAT facility, Conference Hall, Library, Design Studio, Museum and Workshop. The campus is equipped with facilities like Residential accommodation for employees, Open Air Theatre for performing Cultural Activities, Open space for Games, Water supply and Generator system with 24 hours backup. Courses The Institute started functioning from 2001 and at present is running B. Tech. Course in Carpet & Textile Technology. The 2nd batch of the B.Tech has already passed out during the year 2006 and everybody has been suitably placed in the Industry (both in Carpet & Textile Industry). Besides, B.Tech course, the Institute is running Industry Based Short Term Training Courses in Design, Dyeing and Computer Application & Management. In collaboration with Canesis Network Ltd., New Zealand our Institute offers Distance Learning Programme in Wool/Carpet/Textiles. The Institute has extended its existing B.Tech course providing scope for additional disciplines- Home Textile Technology and Textile Design Technology as a specialization in the final year with intake of 60. The Institute is equipped with latest machines, plants, looms and other infrastructure for running the courses. The Institute is awarded coveted ISO 9001:2000 in the year 2005 by SGS, U.K. The IICT's Laboratory has also been accredited by NABL.

is it worthy to take admission for b.tech course? please give me details of recent year package. and what is other scope than taking placement in carpet industry?

Started in the year 2001under the aegis of Ministry of Textile , Gov of India. College running in affiliation with AKTU, Lucknow and approved by AICTE. Only college providing Btech in carpet technology. Extension of this campus is in Pipris . Infrastructure structure is good. This college has experienced faculty team . Placements are also good about 70 percentage of students are getting placed. This college has done the up with many companies for providing internship to students. Being situated in carpet city Bhadohi student graduating from here has a lot of options to work in the city itself.

Better than low ranked IITs

Since Bhadohi is known as carpet city, the people engaged in carpet work are in large numbers prepared by the institute named Indian Institute of Carpet Technology (IICT) which is situated in Bhadohi itself.It has calm and peaceful environment with greenery all around.The fees is also somewhat justifiable and learner can be prepared to get a start in very less time.Although, improvements can and still need to be made.But overall it is best institute for anyone who's in Bhadohi and want to get himself involved in carpet business.

I recently visited there, and felt that this institution is the only one in it's own sector, peaceful environment and awesome educational institution.
