★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Outstanding bookstore! My favorite in Kolkata! Worth a visit to browse the bookshelves in the air conditioned room and get a book recommendation from the knowledgeable and helpful owner. Many imported Western books you won't find elsewhere, including fiction and large travel books and anthologies covering culinary topics and arts and music. Also a nice collection of books by local writers.
To find the bookstore, go down the small lane just east of the Indian Coffee House, then turn east down an even smaller, dead-end lane in the middle of the block.
