Indore Junction is one of the Railway junctions in Madhya Pradesh and serves Indore, the commercial capital of Central India. The railway station of Indore Junction BG falls under the administrative control of Western Railway zone of Indian Railways. It consists of six main railway platforms. Indore Junction is also equipped with best passenger amenities in terms of waiting halls, cool drinking water supply, cafeteria, automated ticket vending machines, book stalls, prepaid taxi services, huge parking facility and police surveillance at all the five platforms. There are three broad gauge tracks and two metre gauge tracks at the station. The proximity of the junction close to the city makes an easy choice for passengers to commute within Indore. The furthest place from this junction the local train network can take is Ujjain in the north and Khandwa in the south. The station is well-connected to major stations and some of them are Mumbai, Nagpur, Dehradun, Jabalpur, Pune, Bangalore, Udaipur, Amritsar, Patna, and Bhopal.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The Indore railway station is located in the heart of the city and one of the most central stations in India. The station is very well maintained, neat & clean as Indore, with beautiful paintings all around the Station wall depicting history of Indore and good eateries as well. The Rickshaw stand and walking path is separate which is really good as it avoids traffic conjunction in rush hours.
