★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Actually the college is good, faculty, library, Laboratories are really good. You can't even get these kind of lab. facilities in well-known colleges in West Bengal.
One of the best college for Genetic Engineering.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Place is good for studying graduation , you can find the details in their website. The campus enviroment is good with lots of trees and pond in the centre of the campus. Its a small campus but well organised. Their laboratory is having most of the instruments but all are indegenious or local make. They need to upgrade their laboratory. Students can learn the basics here for equipment handling. About teaching all need to discuss with the students for better understanding. My friends have studied here so at that time teaching was good , but cant say about the present.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I graduated from IGE in 2012. The institution is dedicated towards bioscience. ONE OF BEST lab facility in kolkata, separate lab for plant biotechnology and bioinformatics lab. Medium size library. All the lecturers and professors are really good and highly qualified. Talking about campus it is situated at the interior location from Madhyamgram chowmatha, but with good connectivity. All over green campus. College had no on campusing facility , about recent updates I am not aware. Canteen food was poor though...but overall if anyone needs good exposure of laboratory techniques, good lecturers you can join here. College has own hostle but not so impressive. Think if you don't want to stay in hostle. But , neighborhood has PGs both for boys and girls. Negative part about college is it's administration. People in administration are not trustable. Sometimes irritating. If you can able to ignore admin part you're good to go. End as a student one should be curious and hungry for learning. 80% student and 20% institute. Many students from IGE are in abroad now for PhDs or jobs. Best of luck.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It's an amazing college with superb faculties, staff and commoners. If your main focus is to study and learn things and enjoy nature then it's the best place, with wonderful and natural ambience.
But if you want to hang out, neglect study, waste time and if you are in a pursuit of luxury and fake happiness then unfortunately this place is not for you.

Labs are well equipped with LAF Cabinet, Incubation, Autoclave, UltraFreezer, PCR, Elisa etc.
Faculties are friendly and so much of greenery in the campus.?????
