About Invicta Tour & Travels
Not really. It depends on you. If you want, ABC trekking can be done independently. You could hire a guide and a porter by yourself instead of going through an agency or not hire a guide at all. Although, not having a guide can be a little problematic during off season.
It really depends on you. Is it your first time in Nepal? How confident are you of being able to find your way around? How pressed on time are you? If you go through an agency, it will be costlier but everything will be planned. You will only have to come, trek and return.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Shafi was extremely helpful in booking my train tickets from Delhi even though I was still in another country, on my arrival in Delhi it was all sorted and train booked. I have also booked with Invicta travel in the past and find them professional, friendly and find tours to suit the individuals needs. Will definitely book with them again on my next trip.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I met Shafi from Invicta Travels three years ago, I stayed at his houseboat in Kashmir. I had a wonderful time there, great views, a beautiful place to stay and relax.
This year I wanted to take my husband to India as he has not been there before. I thought Id arrange the holiday through Shafi as he did such a splendid job last time.
Shafi organised our itinerary to our specifications perfectly. He supplied a lovely driver called harsh who was very knowledgable and kind, he showed us some brilliant places. I have to say it was run perfectly and we would use Invicta Travels again for sure. Thanks Shafi!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I have met Shafi at Invicta many years ago when I first came to India. He helped me out of difficult situations, and through the years we became friends. He proved to me that I could trust him, which is not always the case in India with business men. Shafi is a professional Travel Agent, he knows exactly what foreigners require and is always ready to satisfy their requirements. Tell him what YOU want he will do it for you. You have a problem…call him…he will sort it out.
I sent a lady friend of mine to Invicta, she wanted to travel through Rajasthan , but was a bit afraid to go on her own, alone with a driver, for 15 days! I took the responsibility and told her “With Shafi/Invicta you are safe”. He organized a “tailored Tours” for her, booked the best hotels; her driver was wonderful and helpful. She had only one complaint…she wanted the trip to last forever. She told me that on her own she would NEVER have seen Rajasthan so thoroughly, and at the same price!
I am a bag packer and I have never traveled with organized Tours, but I have recommended my friend
Shafi/Invicta to many of my friends who prefer traveling with Tours, and they always came back enthusiastic, wanting to come back soon to India, thanks to Shafi.
I do not go on organized Tours, but my next trip will be an organized trip to Kashmir with Shafi/Invicta. He is THE expert, being a pure Kashmiri, and I want to visit HIS Kashmir.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We used Invicta Tours after meeting up with Shafi in the main bazaar area of New Delhi.
We have been travelling for 6 months but felt for the start of our India section, it might be prudent to have it arranged by a local expert, as we were unsure of the pitfalls and cons that surround travel around India .
How lucky we were to have luckily met up with Shafi and his colleagues at Invicta.
We arranged a 5 night trip to his house boat in Kashmir, then 21 days in Rajasthan. The cost included drivers , hotels and breakfast , in the case of the house boat all food was included.
In addiction he also arranged our forward flight onto Goa.
Could not recommend Invicta more highly , we did have a hiccup in Srinagar, as we were snowed in for four days, as all flights were cancelled , Shafi put us up for the extra four days free of charge, then arranged a tortuous 28 hour taxi back to Delhi. Would not advise travel to Kashmir in January !!!!!.
After we got over that, and we sorted out our re arranged itinerary on our return to Delhi, it all went like a dream. Our driver Deepak was brilliant , we relied on him a fair bit and became our friend ( hi Deepak ).
The hotels and the towns,and areas suggested were great, we would probably not have gone to at least two of them.
If you are looking for a reasonable price, or something tailored to suit your budget, complete with brilliant service and easily contactable during your trip ......Invicta Tours and Shafi and his team should be your first port of call.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My boyfriend and I booked our entire India trip with Invicta, and we had a great time. If there was an issue, Shafi was quick to help and fix the problem. We also really enjoyed our 5 days in Kashmir and were overwhelmed by the generosity and kindness of all of the people involved with this company! We highly recommend letting these wonderful people help plan your India trip, you won't be disappointed!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Invicta provide us a car and a driver for our impossible single day tour of Jaipur. We were able to visit Amber Fort, Jantar Mantar, Hawa Mahal, and Jal Mahal or the palace in water. The tour person was knowledgeable and able to see all four landmarks in one day.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ SCAMMERS ! Don’t go, this is the kind of scam people warn you about when travelling to India.Please don’t fall for it as we did.
Here is what happened to us : We took a taxi from the airport and asked the taxi to take us to a hotel we had pre-booked. However instead the driver took us to the agency. He made us believe that we had to quarantine for a week and that no hotel would accept us, which after verification was a lie. At the agency they told us that the only alternative to the quarantine was to leave New Delhi ASAP. However, they assured us that because of Covid-19 is was going to be extremely difficult for us to travel to India, that trains and buses were cancelled and we would not be able to book anything by ourselves. They told us that the only way to travel was to book a train pass with them. Again this was lie, after verification I have found plenty of trains and buses available… They ended up taking 56000rupees from us (750 USD). By booking train ourselves which is not that hard it would have costed us less than 100USD/person. They took a 200% commission for a fake « train pass » and we ended up travelling by bus most of the time. They pretend to be have backpackers options but really all they do is lie to you, don’t fall for their scam !
