TO ALL WHO ARE SUFFERING FROM MENTAL HEALTH THINKING YOU CANT BE CURED OR THERES NO HOPE, DONT GIVE UP THERES ALWAYS HOPE AND WONDERFUL LIFE AHEAD WAITING FOR YOU. JUST HOLD ON, NEVER GIVE UP.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Not necessary to come at mumbai/thane and have their treatment if you are outsider of Mumbai/thane.
We actually came there with expectations that in this hospital we will get some sort of supplimentory/supportive treatment in an addition to medicines. At first appointment they said, they are having some treatments like workshops to schizophrenic patients to heal quickly from disorder. But later on when treatment starts, they told us they are not having such programs for patients but for those who are care taker (family members) of patient.
My relatives living outside Mumbai but luckily for job purpose I resides at Mumbai. So they don't have any struggle to cope with Mumbai life.
But few months having consultation with this hospital, we finally decided to go with our previous doctor available at our native.
We got reference of Mr. Anand Nadkarni from another doctor of my native. We had expectations that Dr. Nadkarni will handle the case of my relative. But in hospital actually his subordinates handles the cases and we suppose Mr. Nadkarni is being more busy with other social activities programs. Don't waste your time and money expecting, you will get some special/different treatment from this hospital compared to other doctors.
Patient of my relative is having schizophrenic disorder for more than 8 years.
After having so long treatment, now we got some sort of confidence that patient is about to cure 100%.
I would like to share some experience that can I feel would help to those who are going with same phase like close relative to schizophrenic patient.
1. Stuck with your native doctor who is convenient to you. You go anywhere, you will get almost same sort of treatment which is best to cure this disorder. Doctor needs some time to understand patient. So don't change physician frequently.
2. Schizophrenia is generally requires long term treatment to heal patient. So you need to show patience.
3. Although sometimes feels irritating, Never get panic and react to patient's symptoms.
4. Ensure patient will not miss even a single dose of medicine at any cost.
5. The disorder is curable. The duration truely depends on patient's will power. So try to improve positivity within patient.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I was diagnosed with depression, PTSD, Borderline etc and was under the treatment of Dr. Anagha Waze who is a brilliant doctor. I was suggested to seek counselling from Dr Saraswati Char. And by far I have not met someone has bad as her.
She conducted test and explained my symptoms and all was going well until one day when I came for therapy I told her I had some alcohol the previous night while she had asked me not to consume any. While I understood her anger on not following her directions sometimes it was not in control to keep emotions in check and I could not help it. She screamed at me and made me sit in the room for an hour doing her work and not counselling as a punishment.
A person who is suffering though depression and PTSD as per your reports is impulsive and not in control when stressed. And she decided that punishing and humiliating person who is at the brink of a breakdown would be healthy and helpful. I was going through hell at that time and she pushed me over the edge.
Last I visited her was in 2019 and it still haunts me to this day, she broke me further more. I never put my faith in any other counsellor because I am scared. And I hope you read this ma'am because you broke me. It took me 2 hours and exact 2 years this day to tell you that you are not a good counsellor, at least not to me.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My son was suffering from mood swings and depression. I asked for Dr. Anand Nadkarni's Appointment but IPH Didn't gave me. They gave me Dr. Shaila Patil's Appointment. We consulted her for 3-4 times then she sent us to Dr. Nadkarni after a long periohardrdd we got the appointment and Dr. Nadkarni spoke hardly for 2-3 minutes. And for further questions he asked us to take next appointment. We are not satisfied as we paid Rs.300 for shaila patil and Rs.600 for nadkarni. We are not satisfied with both the doctors as they do not have time to listen to our problems. It's just a money making scheme. Tarik pe Tarik and no solution. I suggest please go for some other doctor. I am helpless as I have started the treatment and cannot stop.

She took a less than 20 minute session of me (the first time we ever spoke) and she immediately prescribed me with Cyclotin, Migrabeta TR and, wait for it, LITHOSUN. she said i had depression and didn't let me speak for most of the time. she kept on cutting me off and demonized someone else's personality disorder.
I realised, she wanted me to abuse on these meds (2 lithosuns in one day) so that I came to her more and she could mint more money. the session was very objective, very fast, it was like a police was taking a viva. i felt very uncomfortable and didn't realise what she was doing to me until that night when I saw that one of my meds was lithosun, used for bipolar and mania. she gave me a misdiagnosis, lied that none of the meds had side effects and gave me wrong meds. she gave me, a suicidal, person, the very weapon i needed. in 20 minutes.
