इस बावडी का निर्माण विक्रम संवत 1654 में हुआ और 1661 में बनकर तैयार हुई।विक्रम संवत 1662 में जगन्नाथ जी कछवाहा ने जब अपनी पोती कल्याण दे का विवाह जोधपुर के पाटवी राजकुमार गज सिंह राठौड़ के साथ किया तो सारी मारवाडी बारात की सेवा इसी बावडी के जल से की गई थी उस समय सबके मुख से निकला था कि गंगा ,नीचे इसी मार्ग से (जमीन के अंदर)समुन्द्र में मिलती है । टोडारायसिंह में उस समय इस बावडी के समान उत्तम गुण वाला पानी किसी भी बावडी में नही था।
यह भी टोडारायसिंह की 365 बावड़ियों का हिस्सा है।

This Bawdi was built in Vikram Samvat 1654 and was completed in 1661. In the Vikram Samvat 1662, when Jagannath ji Kachhwaha married his granddaughter Kalyan De with Patvi Rajkumar Gaj Singh Rathore of Jodhpur, the entire Marwadi procession was served. At that time, Ganga had come out of the mouth that the Ganges, below this path (inside the ground) meets in the sea. At that time in Todaraisingh, there was no water in any stepwell like this stepwell.
It is also part of Todarasingh's 365 steps.
