★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This restaurant serves 4 types of Misal which is a maharashtrian snack/brunch item. The iconic thing is they have everything unlimited. Misal comprises of cooked lentils topped with potato fry vegetable, mix fried snacks, onion and a spicey curry to blend the dry things together. Here you get 4 varities of curries which have iconic taste of different regions of Maharashtra. The best thing is you can make your own preparation out of all ingredients and can enjoy till get totally full. You can get as many buns as you want to accompany the unlimited delicacy of misal. They have few options of beverages too but those are additionally charged. Overall it's a great place for brunch. There are no options apart from misal which is the only negative aspect of it. They can have some common accompaniments like onion or potato pakoras.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A must have Misal in Pune is now in Hirabaug. Thorat's Barbecue Misal is just awesome in test. I went there with my friends. This is the place, where You'll get 4 types of Misal. Puneri Misal, Jain Misal, Nashik Misal & Kolhapuri Misal. I personally liked Puneri & Kolhapuri Misal very much. In 99/- You can eat unlimited Misal. Really worth it. But they don't allow 1 Misal in 2 people.
They give Paav & bread slices both, & they grilled Paav & bread. Service is also very quick.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Misal Pav is one the special things that identifies Pune's culture and cuisine. And, Thorat's barbeque misal is somewhat contributing towards Pune's food culture. Nothing seemed very special the ambience was good, we visited the branch near swargate. The only difference here is serving the misal, 4 types of misal (Kolhapuri, Puneri, Nashik and Jain) served in containers with burning coals below it to keep it hot. Only misal pav with sides like buttermilk, solkadhi, cold drink is served here. Misal Pav with matki, onion, dahi, namkeen is unlimited. The cost is rs. 108 which i think is fair enough considering taste and quality. Pav is served grilled hot which adds extra fun in eating. The taste of misal here is not like out of the world but really good. It is one of the best known misals in Pune. Definitely try once.
