Jal Mahal is a beauty amidst the lake. You cannot visit the monument and one has to satisfy themselves by standing on the road side and adoring it's beauty. At nights it's well light and looks remarkable. It is said the building is comprised of five storey in which only two are visible since the other three are submerged in water. On the roadside there and many street food stalls one can enjoy street food and adore the beauty of Jal Mahal.Ruined by tourists! I felt disappointed. You just go and stand at one point and watch the palace from a great distance. That's it! You can't even go close to it. And the water there is so much polluted. Vendors sell muches that you can feed to the fishes and tourists buy them and feed the fishes hence polluting the lake. I regretted visiting this place. Simple suggestion: Don't go. Rajasthan has far better palaces you can visit and very rich bazaars. Spend time there.. Don't go to this lake palace to waste the precious time of your tour. This is place is simply great located in the city of Jaipur. This is the home of King/Queen and family after they shifted from the Amer Palace located on the other part of the city on a hill top. A very beautiful Palace with wonderful Architecture. This is quite a famous place in Jaipur and one of the must visit while here. It is quite easy to reach here from any where in the city. The scenic beauty is Superb here. There is a museum as well here with all the previous kings who ruled Jaipur in past. Enjoy !!!!!.t is such a great place to visit among many other forts and historic places. It is beautiful plus it has so many different parts to explore. A part of the palace is open for public viewing, rest is still in use. Best part of this palace is their artillery exhibition. It has so many small knives decorated in different patterns which was such a good move from the curator of this museum. Jantar-Mantar is close by as well. So go here early in the day so that you can cover both.

Pink city Jaipur, chauki dhani is the best place to understand to all Rajasthan culture, food's, dance and art's of royal Jaipur city. Heritage places like Nahargarh fort, Amber fort, Jantar mantar, Hawa Mahal, Jal Mahal are the best architecture of old times. The culture and rituals of people of Jaipur are very attractive. And as usual the food , I should say the old way of food serving and different tastes of Rajputanas times.
