During deshehra a fair organised here. I really like this place not only cleanliness but also for its artitecturing and entertaining with watery animals.

Situated at Rajgir, Bihar. This temple is built in white marble and is surrounded by a very beautiful lake where a lot of migratory birds visit. Lord Mahavira breathed his last here. A must visit place for all.

The Jal Mandir or Water Temple is situated in[1] Pawapuri (also known as Apapapuri which means a town without sins),[2] in the Indian state of Bihar. It is a major pilgrimage destination of Jains and the temple is dedicated to Mahavira, the 24th Tirthankara (religious preacher of Jainism), which marks the place of his cremation. Mahavira attained Nirvana (death) in Pawapuri in 527 BC.[3][4] The temple was originally built by King Nandivardhan, elder brother of Mahavira, within the pond which is filled with red coloured lotus flowers.[5] It is one of the five main temples in Pawpuri, where the "Charan Paduka" or foot impression of Mahavira is deified.[3]

I Recently visited pawapuri due to some domestic work then I bored of that and move to explore pawapuri so I get moved from my resthouse. And I experienced that this place is to be glorified because of jalmandir which is a temple in centre of a big water pond. That place is too cheap and silent. There is cool air flow Everytime.Due to a huge pond. I came there from Biharsharif only @Rs10. And there is no ticket ??to entrance.

Jal Mandir, Pawapuri Jal mandir, Pawapuri The Jal Mandir (literally water temple) marks the spot where Lord Mahavira was cremated. It is said that there was such a huge demand for ashes from his funeral pyre that Jal mandir as the name suggests is a temple in the middle of a lake blooming with lotuses. The main deity of the beautiful temple is a very old “Charan Paduka” of Lord Mahavira. It marks the spot where the mortal remains of Lord Mahavira was cremated. It is believed that this temple was built by King Nandivardhan, elder brother of Lord Mahavira.
