★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is the pilgrimage and historical place for jain and temple is dedicated to the lord Mahavira which is placed in the middle of the pond.
A major tourist spot of Bihar for not only Indians but also for foreigners. More rush are during Diwali with more decorated lights and attracts more crowd.
I love this place so much. I always visit here for Peace and quiet environment. This place can be visited for bird watching their chirping. In pond, there so many big fishes and new birds. If you want to attract these birds and fishes then you have to feed them by buying some feeding stuffs for them which is available at the shop. At night this place is more lightful and attractive. You can visit at night during 6-8 pm for best view in winter and 8-10 pm in summer. You can also come here for jogging, walking, yoga in the morning and evening around the boundary of the premises. If you have not visited yet, then must visit once you will enjoy a lot.You can reach here by nearest railway station pawapuri road, and by road via NH20, and nearest airport is Jay Prakash Narayan international airport, patna.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Jal Mandir, Pawapuri, Bihar is such a divine place especially for jain brothers. I had a privilege to visit the place..its a temple located around a huge lake with thousands of lotuses. There were lots and lots of fishes, different birds in the pond
Here they can't be caught for fishing. Jeevdaya the essence of jainism. Huge respect.
Pawapuri is a place 90km away from Patna. The road from Patna to Pawapuri is not good. So it takes 3 hr to reach from Patna. Government is doing excellent work to make it fourlane road. Hopefully will be done shortly.

Water Temple, also known as Apapuri, in Pawapuri, meaning a town without sins, in the Indian state of Bihar, is a highly revered temple dedicated to Lord Mahavira, the 24th Thirthankara (religious preacher of Jainism) and founder of Jain religion, which marks the place of his cremation.
