Jama masjid metro station is very beautifully built by L&T. This station is part of an extension of the Violet Line (ITO-Escort Mujeser). This section of the line is unofficially referred to as the ‘Heritage Line’ as it runs through the Androon Shehr (walled city) of Shahjahanabad, and is flanked by its numerous historical monuments and places of worship. This entirely underground heritage line section comprises four stations -- Kashmere Gate, Dilli Gate, Jama Masjid and Lal Qila. The art installations at this station, focus on nearby places of worship. One panel dedicated entirely to the Jama Masjid and its various architectural elements like arches, minarets, jharokas & domes. A second panel will showcase the Jain temple, the two Sunehri Masjids, Gurdwara Sheesh Ganj Sahib, Fatehpuri Masjid and Akbarabadi Masjid.

Jama Masjid is a historical architecture in the hear of New Delhi, the political capital of India, which is a mosque, i.e. a religious place for the Muslims, built by Mughal emperor Shah Jahan back in the 17th century! It is located at Chandni Chowk, and close to the Jama Masjid metro station. This metro station is an underground one and is on the violet line of the Delhi metro service.

One of the most famous sacred places for Muslims in Delhi. Though the streets are narrow and heavy traffic jam, the place remains always crowded specially due to adjacent Meena bazar and street foods around it. I would suggest you not to book any cab or auto to take a visit to this place. Convenient way to visit this place is by metro (Jama masjid station, violet line), which is around 800m away.

Still in usage and well maintained Masjid. Camera charges are high but definitely worth it. Located in a very crowded zone, hence finding parking slots are very difficult, recommended to park outside the meena bazaar and walk towards it.

JAMA MASJID is one of the largest mosque in India. Fabulous place???. I have visited first time yesterday and it was an amazing experience with my friend. The place is peaceful, there is no ticket for masjid, inside mosque there is a tower(minar) to visit at minar a ticket counter is there so you have to take a ticket to go at the top and now a separate metro station is assigned which is JAMA MASJID METRO,which is convenient for pilgrimage .My Overall experience is good for this place❤ and I think everyone should be visit at least one visit to take a glimpse of the Mughal Architect.✌✌
