★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Small portion of reserved forest left in the city and homing about 2 dozens of leopards along with many other wildlife species. Hope, people take it as their responsibility in maintaining and preserving the forest and hence, protecting nature and saving wildlife.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Jhalana Safari park in Jaipur is the famous park for Leopard. Jhalana Nature Park is a 700+ hectre reserve forest area that is open to visitors for bird watching and jeep safaris. More than 200 varieties of birds and 450+ plant species have been recorded here. It is home around 14 to 15 leopards, which are quite visible to the wildlife lovers who came here. It is says about Jhalana that "if there is a tiger in Ranthambhore, there is Leopard in jhalana”. Social Media have put Jhalana safaris on the global map. There is a variety of wildlife such as jungle cat and wide range of reptiles. Jeep Safaris are conducted here.

Went for the morning session.
Spotted Rambo the leopard twice who is pretty elusive.
Guide could do more explanation during the drive.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ If you are a nature lover than this is the perfect place for you, you don't have to travel far off, it's located in the city territory. Prefect example of wildlife preservation, they say there are 24 leopards in it.
Bring binoculars with you if you really want to see live leopards and panthers.
They charge 365 and 765 for a jeep ride respectively for Indian & foreigners apart from 100 rupees entry charge and some additional concession for Indian students.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It was cold in the morning 7am, good to wear a windbreaker. The road is bumpy on the Jeep, but driver was friendly and nice. He helped to spot the fox, deers, jackal, male leopard, owl and peahens. Nothing fanciful but a true safari ride ??

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Jhalana Leopard Reserve is the only one City Forest of Jaipur where you can witness Leopards,Jackals, Hyena, Peacock, Monkey,Blue Bull and many other wild animals and birds in their natural environment.The best part about this place is that you can take your own Car inside the Park and can drive as per your convenience.The Charges for Car and Jeep are 375 INR and Per Person Fee for Indian is 100 Rs wherein for Gypsy it is 800 INR and Per Person Foreigner is INR 800. The timings of the Park in winters is from 0630 Am To 0930 AM and Evening 0330 PM To 0630 PM and in summers it is half and hour before.
PS: You must have binoculars and Big Lens Camera's in order to see the Leopards and Panthers.If you are not having any one of them the chances to see them is not more than 10%.Over all good experience.
