It's a very big hospital . With well educated Dr and staff they are very humble and nice to everyone . All the facilities are available here . But don't come alone with patient need atleast 1 or 2 person .

I underwent laproscopic hernia repair surgery here . The operation was successful and affordable 1.Some staff at the lower levels were somewhat rude and negligent with patients 2. But the doctors will treat you well and quality of medical services will be good 3. Food was not so good for general ward patients 4. OPD is expectedly very affordable (20 rs) 5 . Wards are generally kept clean but there is lot of scope for better maintainance Overall for patients with not so sound financial background this could be the best available hospital

This is only for YELLOW VACCINE, EVEN FOR SEAFARER • Left from Borivali at 6:50 AM by Uber. took me 1 hourish to reach. • Enter Gate no 6 and got to counter 11. OPD counter. The counter has 2 sides, one is entrance side and staircase side. Stand on any line and and keep 20 Rs ready. Show Passport photocop. • Then take the staircase and come to the 2nd Floor. and wait in the line there. At 830 I was in the first 10. • Have to wait for the Doc to come and then the whole process of getting the Vaccine takes 15 min. Have a good breakfast and come. Got done by 1145. Hope this helped.

Pros: 1. Almost free of cost, mostly good doctors and staff (except a few who need some empathy training to deal with patients and family members) 2. The staff canteen is better relatively for food (both for patients and family) 3. Free parking inside Cons: 1. Just one MRI/CT scan device which is very surprising given the volume of patients. Heard stories of emergency patients being sent to other hospitals. 2. Lack of clean toilets for visitors near each ward 3. No infrastructure for families attending for patients.. including seating areas 4. Food for patients is worse than the food provided by some charity to visiting family members 5. Mosquitoes, rats, stray cats (roam in the wards) 6. Consumption of tobacco and spitting (both by patient families and staff) is very common.. surprising to see that people don't learn even after seeing the patients situation. Maybe the security staff (who are just idlying and at best checking for passes with visitors could be used to enforce "strict no tobacco" policy)

This hospital is totally mess, very unorganised staff, and non helpful doctors, they keep sending you one window from other and gives first preference to their knowns and make you wait for a while, very disappointed with hospital management & facilities.

I can't say it's best hospital but yeah, i can say "JJ Hospital is one of the biggest Hospital in Mumbai". You can easily get here via local train/TMT bus/personal vehicle or OLA/Uber[costly], hospital is located in middle of Byculla and Sandhurst so if you planning to travel through train you can stop at any station, distance is same. Infrastructure is quite good but environment is little noisy [due to vehicles] You only have to pay 20₹ for Case paper and everything else is completely free except some tests like x-ray, CT scan etc If it's your first time in this hospital I'd recommend you do not come alone, it will be too difficult for one person to handle everything alone, and if you don't have a idea about Wards, OPD and other room location, please bring someone with you who had come here before or who have some idea about locations and everything, cause no one is going to help you here you have to find your answer by yourself, and it will take your whole day. One thing is really irritated me here which is, you have to wait for doctors couple of hours and sometimes atleast 4-5h, that's very frustrating!! But atleast they are very well experienced and educated. I pray you all get well soon.

It is a government hospital situated near byculla. You can book a taxi from byculla station which costs approximately rs 35 according to meter or else you can have a walk from sandhurst station to the hospital. It is a medical college plus hospital having every type of medical facility available. The case paper timing is from 8 am to 12 pm only so you need to collect the case papers of every test with you before 12pm.
