★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Awesome place the entire area the temple of Raja narendra nath Roy in the mid of a busy market. My morning starts with the morning walk from the Subhas Chandra Bose park termed as Subhas Sarobar Park, then crossing the sarkar mart towards the jora mandir mardir. One coconut dadu with sash lagano narkol golden narkol with misti jol followed by sakh sobjibazar, rangmahal, and different kind of toiletries, Mach, chicken very rare in case of mutton. And yes how one forget the unforgettable suti gamcha, donekoli dhakai saree and budded rose and rajanigaondha fuler ghudah along with white lily and orchid sticks mesmerises the early morning feel........

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very old traditional market in Beleghata. Excellent selection of fresh fish of all kinds, meats , fruits vegetables, Spices, groceries are available. As are clothes, Gold jewellry , cosmetics, costume jewelery. Hardware stores. But like all traditional markets it's crowded, parking is difficult to find . The mandir or temple is also old and draws devotees sizeable .
