Joy hospital has been one of the best hospitals in Chembur, each staff (i think) handpicked by Dr. Roy Patankar serves with humane touch and care. Whenever my uncle was admitted here on 10-15 ocassions throughout the year i offered the housekeeping staff money for their effort and service and i can promise you not a single one accepted it and said please bring sweets instead for happiness of going out of the hospital and never return on bed but return to meet us. It owes respect and a big THANK YOU.

Currently my father was admitted in Joy Hospital. I want to highlight a few issues which you can easily rectify as I am sure the hospital must be having a Hospital Administration Supervisor as I don't expect directors to be running around everywhere as your core specialisation is to treat a patient. 1) We were told Bed Available in ICU on 28th September 2016 & we got him to your hospital. Apparently it was Emergency & to our surprise, he was kept on a Trolley (Stretcher) for the whole night. There was no Monitor attached & your Doctors Prescribed me to buy CHEST LEADS. (I have photograph of the same). The bed was given on 29th September 2016 in the afternoon. As a policy we know you will be charging me a full charge for ICU & there will be definitely no choice left for me but to pay. 2) Basic Hygiene: There is no Blanket in ICU. I was surprised. Your hospital gives a worn out Solapuri Bed Sheet to cover. The clothes given are soild, the pillow cover is drenched in Oil & dirty. 3) CARE in ICU: Yesterday at night I just came in to see how my father is doing. He has to have a BIPAP machine put on for whole night due to his saturation issue. To my utter surprise, the BIPAP machine was not put on properly, the oxygen flow pipe was not attached. When I asked my father who put this, he said a ward boy came & put it. So do I understand that such critical things are handled by Ward Boys in your ICU & not by an RMO or Nurse. The saturation had dipped to 75 & I had to call the RMO on duty. 3) Payments: I remember we had spoken last time of unavailability of Credit Card in Zen & you assured me that its rectified & working. To my utter surprise a big hospital like JOY, the credit card swipping machine is not working & no one is bothered. Later on i was told that you charge 1.43% transaction fee and hospital prefers cash collection this was told by your billing team. Or the feeling I get is that the hospital encourages CASH payments. Also no hospital in Mumbai including a hospital like Shushrut in Chembur which is run by a trust charges a transaction fee for any credit card swipe. I am informed that your hospital does charge a transaction fee. Do we ever ask your team what is the base cost of doing Hgt or giving 1 round of nebulization. The machine cost 2500 and you charge 100 per nebulization and medicine we only have to buy. Dr. Patankar - I have nothing against you personally, nor against your organisation JOY Hospital. Infact its a boon for us that you exist next door for any emergency. But such things which happen puts one off & then prompts to make a noise about it. Your ICU bed charges & other charges are in line with any of the High profile hospitals in Mumbai. But others at least take care of the patients & treat it on a more humanitarian & compassionate way. Today Social Media is very active, a Single Tweet or a Facebook post is enough for such things to go Viral on the Social Media. I can also understand that last time my comments on Facebook must have irked you as the set up was new, but those were never a complaint but a guideline for your organisation to improve. This is a feedback on the services provided by an organisation where you are a Director. Such things can bring a disrepute to an organisation & seriously tarnish the image. I have noticed one thing which I want to share freely is that people have no choice when Emergency hit them & are dependent on medical care. We know its an organisation you are running & there is a cost attached to it but what we expect is CARE with Compassion & not just a source to make revenue on someones emergency situation.

Went here for a cut on the forehead. The casualty staff gave me a tetanus shot and played guessing games with medicines. The nurses never wore any gloves or washed their hands. Few days later, I find out I have a bacterial infection from the needle and I can barely walk or sit. It has turned extremely painful as I write this and the doctor (Dr. Vineet, Dr. Roy's Assistant) is unresponsive (when I called the staff even told me no doctor with this name works here!) A bunch of criminals practicing medicine I would say. Please save yourself from these crooks.

Some doctors are good here. Some are bad. The casualty doctors are particularly bad as well as the ENT specialist. I went there with a pulmonary disorder and he gave me medicines for cough/cold/flu. My symptoms worsened and I went through a lot of complications afterwards.

Waiting for doctor from 1&1/2 hour out side the cabin with mosquito. No proper seating arrangement for patients. Doctor came late by 1 hour. We are in que for visit, but people who came after us went inside first. ( i think they have taken prior appointment over phone.) But still they suppose to stop such kind of appointment. This is my first visit and may be last. Still waiting for my number to come. Need proper hospital in chembur where patient is priority not references. Talking about nurses. Nurses are here for chat with each other. Like TP they even dont know how to talk patient.

Worst hospital ever. Doctors here try to fool you to keep patient in hospital to get as much money as possible from you. They don’t care about patient’s health.I would never ever recommend it to anyone.

Zen Multi-speciality Hospital: Well structured hospital with good and latest facilities. The rooms are quite clean and Morden with all amenities. The staff, nursing team and co workers are very helpful & Co-operative. The food served for the patients also looks very clean and a very professional service. The procedure to admit a patient took a very long time - 2 hours to admit is a real waste of time. I can imagine what could be the situation for discharge. There are only 2 very slow moving lifts. One goes upto 4th floor and the other upto 8th floor. This is a big bottleneck during visiting hours, where one ends up spending over 20-30 minutes standing in the queue during the 1 hr visiting time. Other than this, Zen hospital is a very good place in Chembur.
