Somaiya Institute of Engineering and Information Technology is one of the colleges by the well known Somaiya trust and has been accredited with 'A' grade by NAAC committee as well as the three out of four programs provide by the college namely Electronics, Electronics and telecommunications and Computer engineering have been accredited by the NBA committee. The campus has a separate Information Technology building with well maintained labs and another lab dedicated to Somaiya RIIDLE which helps students aspiring with their start ups as well as under graduate students with great internships in their field of study. The main college building consists of the computer engineering department with fully air-conditioned and functional labs, the electronics as well as the electronics and telecommunications departments which also consists of fully equipped labs. Robocon : a place for interested students to work on their skillsets and go to different robotics competition have been the committee in the college that has participated and won several awards hence assuring the quality of knowledge we get - learning while having fun. The students' council : the largest non technical student body of the college is very active and organizes various activities the most prominent of which is the Sports fest "Score" and the Cultural fest "Surge" of the college. A boys as well as a girls football team, boys vollyball team and a great lookout at sports is given considering the importance of sports. The college provides 2 grounds and 1 astro turf to students for the same. Most importantly, even with all the extra curricular and co-curricular activities provided by the college, it also has a great impact on academics and a great placement rate at some of the best companies. Have done my BE in EXTC Engineering from thia college. Good place to be, placements done along with Somaiya Vidyavihar. Just the campus is different. Can reach here from Sion (20mins walking) and Chunabhatti (10 mins walking) stn. Also very close from the Eastern Express Highway (Everard Nagar bus stop). The college faculty is also good and so is the staff. Get an admission if you are ever offered a seat.

It's a college by the reputed Somaiya trust so we can be assured of the quality of education at this college. This institute provides a B.E. i.e Bachelor of Engineering degree. The staff is old and knowledgeable enough to take care of the numerous students studying at this college. The problems of this college is poor placement and it's location. The institute is located at a secluded area and on the main highway with no shops or anything else around the college.

K J Somaiya Sion Institute of Technology stands decent in terms of Academics & Placements. I have a got a lot Many friends here in CE/IT and all of them are doing pretty well. It has got RIIDL lab which is a boon for the one who are into Research & Development. The best thing about the campus is, it's Ambience The only worry is traveling to the campus might be too tedious for some. The nearest station is Chunabhatti & Sion. Overall the college is worth Enough to spend 4 years for Engineering. The social life is also very commendable here and the atmosphere is very vivid, vibrant and wonderful during the festivals. All in all, the college is a very decent engineering college and reciprocates more than what a student can ask for. I.T. branch has many benefits at kjsieit. the most important one is that it has an entire different building just for the department. the building consists of a great green environment, well equipped and fully air conditioned labs, data labs, hardware labs, software labs etc, a huge seminar hall, girls’ and boys’ common rooms, clean and well maintained washrooms and the department participates in different competitions be it project related or extra curricular which gives students a great amount of exposure. the faculty is great and well experienced too. they even help students with getting internships to build their resumes and help them with any online courses the student may be interested in. the department also pays attention to a students talents in sports and extra curricular activities along with their academics.
