The Institute for Spatial Planning and Environment Research (ISPER) ISPER headquartered at Panchkula is a society registered under the provisions of the Societies Registration Act, 1860 and Re-registered under Haryana Registration and Regulations Societies Act, 2012. It is also registered under the provisions Section 12 A (a) of Income Tax Act of India and has the exemption granted by the Income Tax Department under section 80 –G since March 2006. This Institute of Excellence – at Amravati Enclave, Panchkula is a nonprofit making, non- political body primarily established to assist the Government in framing the policies / plan/ execution and implementation of various developmental programs. ISPER as a multi disciplinary organization is committed to promote geo-spatial technologies and its applications in various development activities of society, economy and environment through community participation. Achieving the spatial sustainable development in urban, rural including backward areas of India by using the cutting edge technologies are some of the responsibilities of ISPER.
