There are only 2 platforms for up and down trains. The platforms are standard in length and the platforms are quite wide too. People of local villages rely on this railways stations for going to places like Rampurhat, Sainthia, Andal, Suri, Pandabeshwar, Durgapur, Waria, Asansol, Panagarh, Bardhaman, Howrah, Bandel etc. Overall it is a well-connected railway station.
