One of the premier and prestigious institutions whose motto is to preserve, promote and propagate art particularly Indian classical dance & drama. It was established by Mrs. L. Dutta on 22 may 2005. Our focus is to create awareness and to impart methodical training of dance amongst youth and children. In today’s fast lifestyle we are forgetting our moral, social and ethical values. Being a part of the society, Kalakrishti realises its commitment to impart the effective aesthetic, artistic and moral aspect of dance.
Throughout our history dance has served many diversified purposes all of which are evident today, also dance is perceived as a physical activity, popular entertainment and art form. A positive attitude towards dance is demonstrated by every staff member of the institute. Kalakrishti is continuously proving itself through regular assessment, discussions and analysis of student’s own work and to expand their horizon. It is the primary aim of Kalakrishti to safeguard India’s vibrant culture and spread it through performing arts in an impeccable manner.
The main motive behind setting up of Kalakrishti is to spread the vibrant national culture and heritage across the globe.
Since dance is the most beautiful reflection of ideas and visualisation, it becomes the spectacular medium of creating a mane of love and care for the rich heritage. The foundation of every individual needs to be in harmony with the spiritual growth so one needs to be highly intellectual and dedicated to the task that leads towards ultimate realisation of the goals and Kalakrishti has been the main driving force behind the presentation and promotion of ethics and values pertaining to religious progress of the nation.discussions and analysis of student’s own work and to expand their horizon. We learnt Classical, Folk, Bollywood as well as various foreign dance styles ,not just learning we also got a platform to perform and show our skills. The Hard work and Vigilance of Sir made us more creative, confident and wise. I and my Folk Dance group of 2019-20 were state level champions and also performed at Nationals . Its a great experience and the best way to explore and increase your potential at DANCE.

The instructors were knowledgeable and so much fun! We learnt how to dance many different dances with a great teacher. He actively is working to promote classical and folk dances of India. Not just being adept in what he does, he will make you want to achieve more and more. Become more proficient in your dance form. I had the opportunity to learn four folk dances from him. He gave me the opportunities that I never thought I would have in my life. Sometimes providing me with the centre stage and the kind of confidence that instilled in me, I carry it in me till now. For those who want to learn and know about our rich dance forms, I would highly recommend taking Tarun sir as your Guru Ji. He will make you realise those hidden potentials of which you aren't aware of. Thank you Tarun sir.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I know Tarun sir for 7 years and last year thanks to tarun sir i have been to nationals two times. Tarun sir is not just a great mentor but a good friend too. I swear you wont be able to find such a dedicated and hardworking teacher like him. In terms of dance you won't be able to find such a great dancer like him and because of him our folk dance group is one of the top groups in Delhi. In the end, I will just say that this place taught me so many things that I can't be thankful enough and I would encourage everyone who is reading this that you should come here.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I was six years old when I became a part of this institute and what an incredible journey it has been. We have learnt various dance forms including classical, folk, western and many more. We are taught to excell in every dance form keeping in mind the authenticity of the same. The best part about Kalakrishti is our teacher, Tarun sir. He is the most amazing mentor one can ever be.
He is the spark, the inspiration, the guide, the candle of the institution. He saw something in me that I didn’t see in myself. I am deeply thankful that you are my teacher. I remember the day when we were discussing something and you told us that the tree which bears fruits always bents while the tree which doesn't always stand straight(a talented person is never proud of his skills).
It's an honor to be a part of such an institution where you learn the real art of dancing.

I joined Kalakrishti Foundation in September 2021 when the classes started to be conducted offline and my experience was somewhat good in the beginning. The owner here, Tarun Dutt is full of knowledge and skills. But you will be taught mainly by Prachi Sharma, who is his own student and she is also pretty good and full of knowledge. But there are some points to be kept in mind which I would like to share with you that I wish I would have known before. First, the classes conducted by them are mainly hobby classes and not truly professional classes where you can learn in depth. The main focus is on school students (the classes also being conducted in Mount Abu School). In junior batch there are mostly school going low aged kids. And in the seniors batch, you will also find school students learning for a period of time. Secondly, the main focus is on quantity and not quality. The learning is not up to the mark. Without focusing or aiming for perfection on already learnt things, the aim is to learn more and more without thinking of polishing the previously learnt things. Thirdly, the online classes are being conducted by his school going students only who are themselves in the process of learning and are not very well aware of the ways of teaching. Fourth, there is no clarity of things. You start something one day and jump on other thing the other day without even finishing that. There is no defined course. It just depends on their wish to start anything anytime and then not even finish it and start another thing. Fifth, a lot of manipulation, lying. I would recommend you to go for it if you are just looking for class to pass your time but if you want to learn kathak by heart, I would recommend you to look for a better institute.
