U can reach here by train(nearest railway station- Balugaon, Chilika & kalijai).
U have to hire a boat to reach there (around 20km boat ride).
There are different point present in the lake(bird island, nalabana etc) Boating price vary based on how many points u want to visit.
No one stays at kalijai temple at night. There is a belief that, at night different different sounds come...
There are few meals/snacks food stalls. Snacks are not at all good. Just because u r hungry and don't have any other options, u have to eat. Or else they are just looting people

Goddess Kalijai is actually Kali, the source and the first 'Mahavidya' of 'Dasmahavidyas'. Highly revered by the local populace, the deity has been venerated in the local folklores and legends. The island provides an excellent destination for pilgrims as well as tourists. Every year in January, a huge gala fair is held during the festival of Makar Sankranti.

Religious and adventurous environment all around. Don't recommend to trip in rainy and spring season in the middle of the awesome Chilika river.
