★ ★ ★ ★ ★ डिग्गी कल्याण मंदिर, मालपुरा तहसील, टोंक जिले, राजस्थान में एक शहर डिग्गी में एक मंदिर है। कल्याण जी भगवान विष्णु के अवतार हैं। मंदिर को 5600 साल पहले राजा डिगवा ने बनवाया था।
कहावत के अनुसार, एक बार उर्वशी (अप्सरा) देव इंद्र के दरबार में नृत्य कर रही थीं। वह नृत्य प्रदर्शन के दौरान हंसी और इसलिए देव इंद्र द्वारा दंडित किया गया था। दरबार में इस आचरण के भंग होने के कारण, इंद्र ने उसे इंद्रलोक से निष्कासित करके दंडित किया और उसे 12 साल के लिए मृदुलोक (पृथ्वी) पर रहने के लिए कहा। वह सप्त ऋषि के आश्रम में आई और बड़ी भक्ति के साथ वहाँ सेवा की। उसकी ऐसी सेवा देखकर ऋषि ने उसकी मनोकामना पूछी। उसने अपनी कहानी और इंद्रलोक जाने की अपनी इच्छा बताई। तब ऋषि ने उसे धुन्ध्र प्रदेश के राजा डिगवा के पास जाने और वहाँ रहने के लिए कहा। ऋषि ने उसे आश्वासन दिया कि उसकी मनोकामना पूरी होगी।
वह वहाँ गई और चंद्रगिरि पहाड़ी में रुकी जो डिगवा के इलाके में थी। पहाड़ी के ठीक नीचे राजा डिगवा का एक सुंदर बगीचा था। वह सुंदर घोड़े के रूप में रात में वहाँ जाती थी। राजा ने इस घोड़े को पकड़ने का आदेश दिया। सौभाग्य से, राजा ने उसे बगीचे में पाया और उसने उसे पकड़ने के लिए उसे ट्रैक किया। वह फिर से पहाड़ी पर चली गई और अपने अप्सरा रूप में आ गई। उसकी सुंदरता को देखकर, राजा आकर्षित हो गया और उसे अपने महल में उसके साथ रहने के लिए कहा। उसने उसे अप्सरा होने और उसकी सजा के बारे में अपनी कहानी बताई। उसने उससे यह भी कहा कि उसकी सजा पूरी होने पर वह इंद्रलोक चली जाएगी। वह तब तक वहीं रह सकती है जब तक इंद्र उसे पाने के लिए नहीं आता। उसने उससे यह भी कहा कि यदि वह इंद्र से उसका बचाव नहीं कर सकती है तो वह उसे शाप दे देगी।
जब समय आया, इंद्र उसे पाने के लिए आए, राजा और इंद्र के बीच युद्ध शुरू हो गया। यह बहुत लंबा चला और कोई नतीजा नहीं निकला। तब इंद्र ने भगवान विष्णु की मदद ली और राजा को हरा दिया। तब उर्वशी ने कुष्ठ रोग से पीड़ित राजा को शाप दिया। भगवान विष्णु ने राजा को अपने अभिशप्त शरीर का हल बताया। उसने उसे समुद्री तट पर जाने और वहाँ प्रतीक्षा करने को कहा। भगवान विष्णु की प्रतिमा वहाँ समुद्र में तैरती हुई आती। मूर्ति को देखते ही उसका श्राप खत्म हो जाएगा।
उसने वैसा ही किया। वह समुद्री तट के पास रुके और वहां इंतजार किया। कुछ समय बाद, उन्होंने समुद्र तट के पास मूर्ति को तैरते हुए देखा। उसी समय, एक व्यापारी भी मुसीबत में था और उसी तट पर था। जब दोनों को प्रतिमा के दर्शन होते हैं, तो उनकी समस्याएं तुरंत हल हो जाती हैं। अब समस्या यह खड़ी हो गई कि कौन मूर्ति को अपने साथ ले जा सकता है। फिर एक आकाशवाणी हुई जिसमें कहा गया था कि “जो घोड़े के स्थान पर होते हुए भी प्रतिमा को रथ में खींच सकेगा, वह मूर्ति को अपने साथ ले जा सकता है”। व्यवसायी ने बहुत कोशिश की लेकिन रथ को खींच नहीं सका। राजा ने रथ को खींचा और मूर्ति को अपने साथ ले गए। एक बार जब वह उस स्थान पर पहुंचा, जहां इंद्र के साथ युद्ध हुआ, तो रथ वहीं रुक गया।
वहाँ पर, राजा ने श्री कल्याण जी का एक सुंदर मंदिर बनवाया और सभी औपचारिकताओं के साथ मूर्ति को वहाँ रख दिया। तभी से मंदिर प्रसिद्ध है
Diggi Kalyan Mandir is a temple in Diggi, a town in Malpura tehsil, Tonk district, Rajasthan. Kalyan ji is an incarnation of Lord Vishnu. The temple was built by King Digwa 5600 years ago.
According to the legend, once Urvashi (Apsara) was dancing in the court of Lord Indra. He laughed during the dance performance and was therefore punished by the god Indra. Due to the breach of this conduct in the court, Indra punished him by expelling him from Indraloka and asked him to stay on Mridulok (earth) for 12 years. She came to the ashram of the Sapta Rishi and served there with great devotion. Seeing his such service, the sage asked his wish. He told his story and his desire to go to Indralok. Then the sage asked him to go to Digwa, the king of Dhundhra Pradesh and stay there. The sage assured him that his wish would be fulfilled.
She went there and stayed at Chandragiri hill which was in the area of Digwa. King Digwa had a beautiful garden just below the hill. She used to go there at night in the form of a beautiful horse. The king ordered to capture this horse. Fortunately, the king found her in the garden and he tracked her down to capture her. She again went to the hill and came in her Apsara form. Seeing her beauty, the king was attracted and asked her to stay with her in his palace. He told her his story about being an Apsara and his punishment. He also told her that she would go to Indralok after completing her sentence. She can stay there till Indra comes to get her. She also told him that she would curse Indra if she could not protect him.
When the time came, Indra came to get her, a war broke out between the king and Indra. It went on for too long and there was no result. Then Indra took the help of Lord Vishnu and defeated the king. Then Urvashi cursed the king suffering from leprosy. Lord Vishnu told the king the solution of his cursed body. He asked her to go to the beach and wait there. The idol of Lord Vishnu would come there floating in the sea. His curse will end as soon as he sees the idol.
He did exactly the same. He stopped by the beach and waited there. After some time, he saw the idol floating near the beach. At the same time, a merchant was also in trouble and was on the same shore. When both have darshan of the statue, their problems are solved immediately. Now the problem arose as to who can take the idol with him. Then there was an Akashvani in which it was said that "Whoever is able to drag the idol in the chariot, even in the place of a horse, can take the idol with him". The businessman tried hard but could not pull the chariot. The king pulled the chariot and took the idol with him. Once he reached the place where the battle with Indra took place, the chariot stopped there.
There, the king built a beautiful temple of Shri Kalyan ji and placed the idol there with all the formalities. Since then the temple is famous
