★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This temple inside is reasonably maintained. However for physically challenged and senior citizens it is very difficult, especially if they drive up the hill to the temple. Though there is a wheel chair available it is not friendly as one need to go down nearly 20steps to reach the sanctum sanctorium. If one need to use the lift from down then cars can not reach near the lift and one need to walk a lot to reach the lift. Further no proper information is visible especially for those not knowing Telugu. This temple has good potential lot need to be done to improve the experience of devotees. Other than spiritual experience there is nothing much here.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Your visit to Vijayawada is not complete if you are not visiting the Kanaka Durga Temple.
Unfortunately I visited the temple on a Sunday during the time when it was completely flooded by all the swamy's wearing rudraksha mala. A long walk to the temple but was well organised by the temple trust.
There were medical facilities/camps available for people in need. This was appreciable. Also water packets were offered to the devotees while in the queue. Also, people with sanitizers insisting the devotees to strech their hands for a spray.
There were 2 types of darshana, a general and ₹300/- spl Q. The spl Q took an hour for the darshan.
Though we bought the special entrance ticket, we were clueless about where the spl entrance was ?. The authorities just were asking us to walk... absolutely no signboard or nothing...we are at the mercy of those folks out there. This is something that needs to be taken care and communicated clearly to people.
The situation should be far better if you are visiting during the regular weekdays (don't visit during the Christmas to new year)
The diety, Kanaka Durgamma is so pleasant and pleasing to see.
