β β β β β Kandi as a town is heritage one,a subdivision town of more than 100 years old but as municipality it crossed 146 glorious years. Kandi PS equally hold the iconic status of heritage PS,situated at the heart of the town.The present look of PS as we see now Is far from the old one.The barrack with tin shades n playground inside what we have seen in sixties are no more,instead two storied building stand high looking through its juridiction like a sharp police officer.The original banyan tree that was a landmark in sixties is no more,yet another replaces the old one with same flavour. This PS caters the need of millions n relaxation n affability those were visible during sixties amongst the police officers are no more, perhaps due to unabated pressure on Law n Order issues. I can still remember that during our childhood days we passed our leisure period inside PS playing football n cricket which is absurd nowadays.
